With the sound of a microwave oven....
The (good) reviews in no way reflect the current quality of this venue. The ownership must have changed, I reckon.
Suspiciously shortly after the beeping of a microwave, my egg benedict was served. The "hollandaise" clearly came from a jar, it was sticky and fatty in equal measure. Together with a weirdly sweet bun it was a truly appalling dish. It wasn't clearly stated that halloumi incurred a 5 AUD surcharge.
The smoothie was watery and tasteless. The waiter asked me if I wanted an "acai-berry smoothie". I assumed they would add a base of banana or a juice, but it tasted as if they just blended a few acai berry with ice cubes.
Coffee was decent but below average Sydney level (which is remarkedly high).
There are two alternative places right across the road - both seem way superior.

Read moreWhat a wonderful surprise to discover this gem. Authentic Thai food is hard to find, the curry pastes and dipping sauces are all freshly made including the coconut milk! The menu is small, interesting, delicious and seasonal, accommodating most people's needs. The wine list is also wonderful sourced from small vineyards. The owners are thoughtful and put a lot of love into this little beauty. Please go, be adventurous as you won't be disappointed. After my first experience I was back the next day for lunch and then again for dinner. I am looking forward to the new menu in November and my next meal...
