Wednesday 07 October. My friend Vince and I thought we would try the new coffee shop at Coco Republic, Castle Hill.
We knew of it but had not visited till this morning. When we arrived we realised what a proper cafe it was - coffee, food and liquor. It was beautifully laid out and definitely a cut above other cafes in Castle Hill. We were greeted by a smiling and very enthusiastic lady (the Boss as it turned out!!) and her team.
Vince and I sat in very comfortable chairs next to the vintage speed boats on the wall and were served with excellent coffee and hot chocolate. We also found the the prices were much less than we had expected on initial sighting.
Later we engaged in very pleasant conversation with Sienna (the Boss) about the background of the cafe, her and her staff and how it all blended in to the Coco business. Engagement is so very important for repeat business.
Suffice to say the L'Americana is now our place of choice because of the ambience, style and comfort and especially the service and pleasant disposition of the whole team. Vince and I are both in the people business and were delighted to discover that so is Sienna and her team.

Read moreNice ambience and tastefully done interiors, but that’s as good as it gets . The food is absolutely horrendous,! My husband and I had ordered Brekky ( eggs with toast ) , it took more than 30mins to arrive and it wasn’t even busy !!! When we finally received our meals the eggs ( I ordered poached and my husband ordered easy over) were way overdone ! I got 2 small Sourdough slices and my husband got 1 slice cut in half … He asked for an extra slice which arrived when we had almost finished our meals . My husband advised the waitstaff that the eggs on both the plates weren’t cooked the way he had ordered but the staff didn’t seem to care ! Would absolutely not recommend anyone to go there. Very...
Read moreThis is a lovely cafe, the coffee is excellent, the atmosphere is great, the decor and furniture are beautiful the staff is friendly and accommodating BUT the food needs improvement! I’m hoping this will be a positive feedback as I really want this to work! My granola bowl was very ordinary, something I could have just poured out of a box with a spoonful of yoghurt! Very sticky and chewy to the point that I had to stick my finger in my mouth to peel it if my tooth! The smash avo, bread not toasted and you couldn’t cut through it, it literally had to be pulled apart and cheese and avo flying off the plate. Similar with the other two! It’s a really lovely place to sit and enjoy, please make...
