This club will send aggressive roid-raged security guards after you and chase you down the street.
This video is filmed over 10 metres from the entrance as I tried to leave while the bouncer is threatening to chase me after I left the venue volunteerarily.
Anyone who's worked in hospitality knows that aggressive, snowflake bouncers aren't a solution! Especially when they're built like a sausage McMuffin. How's he even gonna catch me?? šš
We DO NOT have to put up with unprofessional venues that escalate to violence instead of being professional enough to convey their decisions amicably. Come to Melbourne if you need a lesson on how to run a venue properly.
This guy will CHOKE SOMEONE OUT eventually unless they can control him. He's just too cowardly and unpredictable to handle a job like this.
Disgusting and vile management too. Look at her following me down the road and threatening to call the cops when I left volunteerarily and we were on a public street, more than ten metres away from the entrance and trying to book an uber to avoid being attacked by the bouncer.
The musicians were cool tho š
Edit: I've been working and DJing in this industry for over twenty years. This is the first place that I've witnessed a bouncer AND manager follow anyone out of the venue and proceeded to attempt to intimate them on a public street for more than ten metres from their venue.
Considering I left on my own accord, why wouldn't you just let me leave and go about my business? You can't follow people down the street and harass them once they're outside your establishment.
That's called harassment and intimidation. It's also a crime and clearly captured on video.
Unprofessionalism like this is dangerous and is why so many other venues have to suffer lock-out laws due to these cavalier and dangerous establishments.
I have filed my report with the cops this morning and will be taking it up with your local council and real estate agents as well as your neighbours and local businesses via social media on Monday.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe last two times I came here the woman at the door was really rude. I paid $70 for my friend and I to enter, and we went upstairs. The music was great however uncomfortably loud. We ordered a drink (waited at the bar for a while and then a guy walked up next to us and was served before we were) and I went to the bathroom. A woman was hanging posters up for a film festival in front of where you wash your hands and began talking to a customer about her love life, I uncomfortably washed and dried my hands while they did not move, they were also both blocking the exit, I stood there in full view of them waiting for them to move for a while and then said excuse me and squeezed past them, as they barely moved an inch. We finished our drink and left having spent barely 30 minutes in the venue. The interior decoration is beautiful, I have been here maybe 5 times over the years, however the general vibe and service is very poor. I will not come back here. The musicians playing here are let down by lack of hospitality. Also while reading through the comments from this establishment towards low reviews you can clearly see how they treat people and it is embarrassing for a business to resort to name calling the way it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHIS PLACE! OMG! There need to be more of this kind in Sydney. It's a very laid-back bar/ club with an older audience and live music 7 nights a week. Expect jazz, reaggy, soul & funk. Loud, but not too much in your face. Perfect music for a little dance. The whole place is full of comfy lounges and with paintings on the wall and other lovely decoration, you just feel like you sit in someone's living room...large living room...! I quite like that the only smoking area is downstairs on the streets as it keeps you in the club for longer (unlike in other pubs where everyone ends up at the courtyard because one person needs to smoke). They have a few beers on tap, not the standard brands but nice tasty (and pricy) beer. Cocktails are a bit more expensive (and so is the beer; e.g. a bottle of Asahi for 8 AUD). The staff is super friendly and if you're lucky, you get table service. They help you carrying your drinks and come around regularly. The pizzas here are nice, although not too big. I love that this place is very easy going - they don't have nasty bouncers, they don't kick you out when you get tired, they are open till late night, the toilets are clean and tidy and everyone seems to be in a good...
