Boss Kebabs – A Hidden Gem in Marrickville
Went last night to boss kebabs, and If you’re looking for a top-notch kebab spot without the hype, Boss Kebabs on Sydenham Road, Marrickville is the place to go. Tucked away in a little caravan at a petrol station, this spot proves that great food doesn’t need a flashy storefront—just fresh ingredients, quality meat, and passion for what they do.
We tried the beef kebab and a beef roll, and both were fantastic. The beef was cooked perfectly—flavorful, tender, and not overly greasy. The fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion added a nice crunch, and what stood out the most was how light and satisfying the food was. No heavy, oily feeling afterward—just pure, delicious flavor.
Prices are very reasonable too. A beef kebab was just $13.50, and the beef roll (which was simple but packed with flavor) was only $8. That’s a great deal compared to some of the more hyped-up kebab joints around Sydney.
The service is excellent, and the owner/worker is genuine—he clearly loves what he does, and it shows. The setup is small but clean and welcoming, with a few tables and chairs so you can sit and enjoy your meal.
They’re open from 5 PM to around 2:30 AM, making it a perfect late-night food spot. It’s surprising that more people haven’t discovered it yet, but this is definitely a locals-know-best kind of place.
If you’re in Marrickville—or even if you’re not—it’s 100% worth the visit. Don’t judge it by its location—just try the food and see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed! Highly...

The meat, pale and timid, seemed burdened by the weight of apathy, while the sauce, as faint as a whisper on a winter breeze, faded into tasteless obscurity. The bread, as hard as an unspoken farewell, encased a meal that had never truly arrived. And the price, like a cry atop a barren mountain, echoed as an insult to the gourmand seeking escape. A bite of emptiness at a cost...
Read moreDon't be fooled by it being a little setup located next to the servo. This place serves some of the best kebabs. Believe me there are so many joints that can't make a kebab well. These kebabs are made with care! There is no grease and the kebab doesn't fall apart when you eat it. The ingredients are good and you don't have the kebab juice at the bottom like most other places. It's toasted to perfection, and I recommend eating it within 10 mins before the bread becomes soft to enjoy the experience. Overall...
