The famous Marrickville Pork roll, went for the very first time today and here is my opinion……This is food that is superior in its class it makes every other pork roll I’ve ever had seem sad.

1. the roll was crunchy
2. the meat was juicy and tasty
3. the crackling was bursting with flavour
4. the veggies were crisp and fresh
5. the roll was jam packed with ingredients but the ratio of meat to veggies was spot on. I paid $12 for a pork belly roll and a can of drink, I was tempted to go back and buy 3 more and keep them in my kitchen to eat for my next 3 meals but I was full and thought I’d just go back and get fresh ones later. It’s cheaper then a maccas meal, it’s fresh and healthy and it feels gourmet. Rarely does any food leave an impression on me like this did. The owners business model is very smart, keep it simple, small premises, less staff needed, keep it cheap, full quality ingredients constant line ups, keep turning over customers.
