Library Café — Restaurant in Sydney

The barista with a small tattoo on his neck is very rude and unprofessional, I ordered a large flat white, but he handed to me a small one. So I asked him, I said “ excuse me, is this large? he didn’t answer me without looking at me, so I had to ask him 2 times, then he finally answered me “yeah, I will make a large one for you”. I saw him just right pouring the small coffee in a large cup, then pouring a leftover shot and milk in the large one as well, I asked him “can you make a new one for me?” Still, no answer, no reply, not even looking at me as well. I really do not like the way he did my large coffee, Then I have to say :”excuse me, can I have one shot in the large one?” This time he replied me very instantly, “ oh, why don’t you tell me when you order, now I have to make your coffee again” when he finished the coffee, he yelled to me in the cafe in front of other custom “sofie, this is your large flat white with one shot, next time please say you want one shot in your coffee, otherwise I have to make your coffee again”. There was no sorry or apology from a to z, he was so rude and cold, just care about whether he has to make coffee again, doesn’t care about whether he made a wrong coffee to his customer. A very very disappointed...

Service was very slow today with only one staff member setting up on Sunday. It took 15mins to line up to get my $7.80 croissant and the cheese inside wasn't even slightly melted. Lady was rude and was setting up while I waited then 4 people jumped the line ahead of me when I put my stuff down. She then made all of their coffees and served their food before taking other orders so took forever. My expensive breakie wasn't even brought to me and was handed over the counter on a paper plate. We would have never tolerated this lack of staff and poor service...

Several older reviews suggest that they have a bad service etc but in the past week I have been here like 3 times and every single time it was nothing but amazing service, food and great atmosphere! It's possible that they have made major improvements to their service and I am so glad if that happened! They serve cold and hot foods and the hot food menu changes on a daily basis.
