We are accidental customers having been suggested this place by a local friend and man was it good. Ordered three very peculiar items and each one of them was spot on. I am fussy about my food and have been around after having grown up in Karachi. I can tell a proper nihari and paya from the fake/improper ones from miles. This was as genuine and proper as it gets. Taste was splendid. The owner and chef knew her stuff and it was actually overnight cooked. I can’t fault a thing. Even the naan were soft fluffy and fresh. Halwa puri and Chana - lightest puris I have had in years. Up there with the very best in my 45 years of eating puris. Making chana (chickpeas) is arguably easy. But the difference is cooked versus cooked with rich taste. These were the latter. I can go on and on but anyone looking for genuine Pakistani nihari, paya and halwa puri cannot afford to miss this place. For other food aficionados go their to tingle ur taste buds - u won’t be...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of visiting Mazaidar Foods for their Ramadan Iftar & Dinner Buffet, and it was an incredible experience! The buffet offers a vast variety of dishes, including alternating mains like Chicken Korma, Lamb Korma, and Chicken Karahi. The BBQ options, such as Chicken Tikka and Seekh Kebab, were flavorful and tender.
The sides, like Veg Samosa, and Chana Chaat, were a perfect complement to the mains. For dessert, I highly recommend trying the Kheer and Gulab Jamun – both are deliciously satisfying.
What stood out the most was the refreshing drinks like Rooh Afzah and Chai, which added a special touch to the meal. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was prompt and friendly.
At $42 per adult, the buffet is definitely worth it for the variety and quality of food. I would highly recommend booking in advance, as it can get busy, especially during Ramadan. Definitely looking forward to...
Read moreMy family and I were here on a Sunday. This is a family run restaurant who take pride in their food and service. Probably the best Pakistani/Indian restaurant I’ve visited in Australia. We had the pani puri, chicken jalfrezi, dhal makhni, chicken tikka with naan and roti. It was all fresh and delicious. The attention to detail was superb, from the sizzling plate of perfectly cooked/moist chicken tikka on a bed of onions and peppers with an awesome mint yoghurt chutney to the combination of crispy and moist naans. The chicken jalfrezi and dhal also tasted fresh & delicious and was enjoyed by everyone. Generous portions that allowed us to take leftovers home and have a second serve. We will certainly be visiting again and I look forward to trying some of my other favourite dishes I noticed on the menu such as the butter chicken, lamb nehari, Lahori fish, paapri chaat, halwa puri....
