Mrs Wong's Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in Sydney

We ordered a meal for 2 people last night and there were about 4 others also ordering after us. We were told 15 minutes so we took a walk around the block.

When we came back, the crowd was larger, and 2 of the 4 people who ordered after us were still there. Another 15 minutes and everyone that ordered after us had their meals.

Even some of the people who had arrived after we got back from our walk had been given their meals.

Another 15 minutes and I had to ask where our meal was. Another person was also getting impatient and wanted to know how much longer it would be.

Ordered 4 main dishes, 2 large fried rice and soups. Not sure what quality reviews are comparing to but I was quite disappointed with the mangolian lamb, it was very red in colour almost a sweet sour sauce and veges mainly was cauliflower? terrible. The other disappointing one was the chicken corn soup, very thick, sloppy and the chicken inside looked like offcuts. The honey chicken had no crunch and was like eating a hard sponge soaked in a light honey sauce. The food is very well cooked and rather inexpensive. Great value fir money. the only concern is the timeliness of getting your order.. They say 20 minutes but usually a lot longer. If they are busy they give priority to home deliveries and leave phone orders and walk in hanging. You get very frustrated when this happens. My tip is when you come down to collect they usually want you to pay. Say you will pay when they give the order as it gives the opportunity to walk away if they vrry late and you are not prepared to wait. If you say that it makes them work faster as they will...
