Would like to share a feedback of a worse experince ever in Blacktown westpoint Nandos in Sydney.
We are a family of four incl. two boys. We came out of movie at Hoyts and the kids were quite hungry. I asked them if they would like to go to Nandos, a restaurant that I used to go all the time during my university days.
The kids were quite excited but all that excitement was just short lived.
We made two orders, one was just peri peri fries which was served promptly. Our second Dine-in order was partly served. The meal with wrap did not come with coke. The whole chicken was never served and it was only large fries that were served and no coke at all.
The other tables around us were being served with chicken and they came in after us.
We waited for a while with complete trust on the servers and the restaurant and above all the brand name Nandos.
At last, I went out at the counter and talked about my order and explained what happened. The cook listened was fine to prepare the whole chicken for me.
We waited and waited again. I went up to the same cook again and asked about the meal, she said she had prepared but when I asked her why isnt it being served to us when every one around us was served, she was so rude and said that we should take away the food. All her actions from there on were so rude as if she was frustrated because I asked her a question?
We have visited a lot of restaurants in Europe, Australia and I can tell you we havent felt that bad ever before.
We didnt even know how to react at all. It was all new to us. We as a family were so humiliated to the core of our heart, we can never visit Nandos again and I will advise the same...
Read moreThe service here is consistently poor and slow. When you arrive they seat you in a dirty table as you wait for them to clean it up. Perhaps clean the table first before letting customers sit down as it can be extremely off putting. There are always dirty tables full of used plates and cutlery being left not cleaned. This makes the restaurant look quite dirty and unappealing. Maybe hire more staff to take on more tasks as the restaurant is very understaffed. The wait for food is also consistently long, more than half an hour on average. Fair enough if it is a one time thing, yet this occurs every single time, even for other customers dining in. Staff don’t even let you know if there will be a long wait for food - which is common courtesy at a restaurant to do. We came last night and waited for over 35 minutes for a meal to arrive. The garlic bread was very cold and soggy, but did not want to wait another half hour to get a new one. I asked the girl for table water and we never even received it. Staff here always seem flustered and getting tables mixed up with their orders. I can see there are lots of similar negative reviews for this place too. I didn’t want to leave a review as I always give restaurants chances. However, when the past 5 times have been exactly the same, I think it’s fair enough. Perhaps the manager of this location should actually take into consideration and read all of these reviews and reply back. Shame to see the manager is not using these reviews as constructive criticism in order to make a much needed change. Read moreI had the opportunity to dine with family this Thursday night at Blacktown westpoint Nandos. The staff were welcoming, professional and polite. Table was cleared and we were seated immediately.
We proceeded to order via their desk QR ordering system and then it went downhill from there. Our order number was not printed or received in the kitchen and after 20-25 minutes wait time, we came to know of the above technical issue on approaching their reception desk. After another wait of 15 minutes wait, our order began to arrive in bits and pieces. The food was cold, chips were cold and stale, pita bread was cold and the corn cobs never arrived. Eventually had to go back to the reception desk to request replacement of the meal. The quality of food has gone down and I will say I cannot see the value of what I paid last night with my family.
The maintenance of their equipment etc is poor, as the soap dispensers near the sink was broken sink leaking water. Sauce bottles with no covers or lids. Fresh cutlery was scarce with piles and piles of used cutlery on each and every table, as the wait staff hurried to deliver orders. Photograph attached for ready reference.
It was not a good experience, not because of any staffers fault....but one could clearly see their shop and kitchen was severely understaffed.
