This little Indian cafe is small, sweet and inexpensive. The dishes are made well and the curries are fragrant and thick. (Unlike some locations, the curries are diluted and are not as tasty as the fragrant aromas they emit).
This is a very cost effective alternative to the location across the street of Oxford (street).
The staff are very humble and kind. Some of them have gone through some rude drunk patrons later in the night, hence they may seem a bit wary on the look of some customers. But nevertheless, they carry smiles and are non judgemental.t
Prices range from $5 for takeaways to $12 for large portions.
THeir lassy drinks range from mango, strawberry and original. Lassies are indian yoghurt drinks that are made from their traditional recipe. and if you love yoghurts, these are thick lassies made well to flavour. Definitely a good complementing accompaniment to the flavoursome curries on the dinner table.
Ambience in this place also imitates what you might find in north india, with orange and pale yellow interiors and TV screens with the Bollywood...

Had a nightmare experience in Harris Park (Little India) last week, the quality & price did not subdue my cravings but North India hits the spot, the Chef really knows his flavours & the service is just how I like it - no fake kissing my ass just order - pay - serve - DONE! The ladies serving were lovely, cheerful & fast! Donât change a thing you...
Read moreExcellent value Indian cuisine. There is a nice little dine in area where you can sit down while eating your mail, or you can take away. Either way, the food you get from here will taste great (my meals weren't too oily either, which is usually common amongst cheaper restaurants), and you will have a very generous portion. I almost always go for the vindaloo, and although it was very hot, I didn't find it TOO hot (which is a mistake many places make). Top off your mixed plate of curries and rice with a pakora, a naan, and a mango lassi, and you will be incredibly full! You probably don't even need the sides here since the standard serving size is more than enough. Excellent place, I'll come...
