Sana Mediterranean — Local services in Sydney

Big fan! Will be added to my office lunch rotation.

Fresh, packs a punch, herbaceous, containing protein, balanced acidity, nutritious, reasonably priced, filling, friendly and competent service, fast enough - everything I like. The concept is like a mediterranean Fishbowl, however I find their signature bowls more cohesive in composition/flavour profile (fishbowl can be a bit all over the place).

I had "The Sana" today which was great. If I was to change one thing it would be that the mince was slightly oily and I would prefer some wok hei type char on my meat; might be hard to achieve for a batch-cooked mise en place system though. The pickled zucchini noodle were my highlight! 10/10

Will be back to eat my way...

WHAT THE? finally bowls with flavour, perfect mix of spice, protein all the good stuff and not too much sauce or maybe too little? either way the flavour is the best! have tried the lamb mince and chicken chilli bowls, delicious clients ive had catered sandwiches for and they left nothing on the plate

suggestions: brown rice option microphone to maximise hearing number called as the awesome music is loud and motivates me to dance while waiting, but also can't hear

side note: fishbowl was right next door and had 5 customers, these guys had a line up of 20!!! and we all know how much we used to love or still love fishbowl

Can't comment on the actual food as I could not find anything on the menu that sounded nice to eat. This place seems super limited and built around an incredibly niche concept. I've seen salad bowl places that had dozens of great sounding mix and match options and you could make these delicious and varied salads, but sadly that is not this place. Unfortunately this menu leaves me feeling like they are targeting extreme gym fanatics on a health food diet. Kale and zucchini noodles or iceberg lettuce?...
