Precinct Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

It’s sad that I had to give an overall 1 star review because the food was actually decent. I ordered the zucchini and corn fritters which describes the dish coming with 2 poached eggs. When I received my order, there was only 1 poached egg on the plate so I asked the waitress about it and showed her that the menu says there’s two.

She started off by telling me that there is 1 on the plate and one is mixed in with the fritter. Upon confirming with the chef, she then told me that the dish should only come with 1 poached egg and that this is the new menu and it must’ve been a misprint.

I then asked her if I will be getting the second poached egg as advertised and she said no.

I am not being salty about an egg but it is the principle of the matter. If you advertise as 2 eggs coming with the dish and you’ve clearly made a mistake, and also owned up to the mistake, then you should just give me the second...

I have been coming here for years as they make good coffee; however, the service is terrible, and yesterday I was served by a very rude woman who acted like she’d like to be anywhere but there.

Knowing I was standing at the counter, she kept me waiting a long time while she typed away on her phone, laughing. When she finally approached me, she refused to look at me and rather impatiently asked, “Yeah?..to which I replied, “Don’t you mean ‘how can I help you?’. She didn’t care. When I asked who the manager was, she told me her brother owned the cafe and asked, “Do you want to say something?”

So, to the owner - you need to train your staff to give better service, starting with your rude sister, who by far gives the worst customer service at your cafe. I won’t be...

Absolutely terrible service. I have tried to come here on 2 seperate occasions and both times have been ignored whilst I waited for someone to bring a menu. Once I was sat there reading for 15 minutes! No welcome or ‘hello’, no ‘you need to go up and order’ no ‘here is the menu but please order at the counter’. It’s bad for business and doesn’t leave the customer with a nice or welcoming feeling. Also as a new customer, who however used to come here before it was taken over a new business, I was not aware you had to walk up to order. They really need to tell people.
