I have been a devoted customer of this restaurant for over a year. But got food poisoning last time I dined there on September 11, 2016.

Ironically, on the same night I have witnessed a customer knocking over a cup with chopsticks, and a waiter picking those up of the floor and positioning them back on the kitchen bench for the restaurant staff to use!

Taken my good experience previously, I wanted to resolve the issue with the restaurant management directly, and bring the events to their attention for investigation. As I couldn't find the restaurant's direct email, and I din't want to go online publicly before trying to work things out, I have sent them a physical letter via Express post describing what happened. The letter was delivered, but nobody has ever reached out to me to explain why I got food poisoning, or why the utensils off the floor were left there to be served to paying customers.

Very disappointing that the restaurant management chose to ignore me altogether after me being their loyal customer for a long time. I will not come back and won't recommend the restaurant that doesn't accept any responsibility for their faults and doesn't care about their long term...

I had a horrible experience here. Long story short the rolls tasted horrible. Almost as if they were a day or two old. In a polite way I asked the server about this and he said nothing was wrong.

It took 30 min to get the next roll. He then said something was wrong with the rice and they had to remake it. He didn't even apologise. The next to rolls did tasted better.

I then went to pay and they made me pay for the horrible rolls at the start of the meal we didn't finish. Pretty horrible experience. It's not normal to charge for food when there is a known issue.

I'm not going back to this place.

I used to love this place and previously gave the review below:

I love this place. Definitely try the seared salmon roll -- amazing.

The place isn't huge, has seating for about 24 so ppl.

I've also had the take away and had no issues.

One of my favourite...

We were visiting from Melbourne and we have to say, the best Japanese food we have had in Australia! We enjoyed our experience so much, we returned the night for more.

Everything was outstanding...from the freshness of the food (very generous servings!) , to the very quirky decor (just like Japan). Small & intermit setting, perfect to be able to have a conversation over dinner and to be able to hear one another.

We were staying with family who live in the area who enjoy the finer things in life and have now added this little gem of a place, to their list of regular eateries.

We will definitely be back on our next trip to Sydney! Keep up the...

I recently visited Sake Street, a cozy Japanese restaurant that offers a delightful combination of authentic Japanese flavors and a selection of wines. The casual ambiance and friendly service created a relaxed dining experience. The menu featured a range of traditional Japanese dishes prepared with care, showcasing the rich flavors and fresh ingredients. The staff was helpful in suggesting wine pairings that complemented the flavors of the food. Sake Street is a great choice for those looking for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience with a touch of Japanese culinary excellence.
