I've heard many things about this place but was always reluctant to try it out due to the slightly higher cost of dishes. However tonight I decided to give it a shot and boy were my expectations exceeded. I walked in expecting to be paying $20 for an average curry and walking off less than satisfied with myself. I ordered the Pork Katsu Curry, and BOY it was delicious. Not only was the presentation of the meal up above standards, the thickness of the pork was just right! Nice and crunchy, not too oily, not too fatty, and accompanied by a delicious thick curry on the side. Everything about this was fantastic. Honestly this had got to be the best tasting curry I've ever had in Australia. Sauce was not all runny like all the other places, and I like how they give it to you on the side instead drenching the katsu in it. This gives you a choice to eat it as is and appreciate the actual quality of the Katsu, or moderately dip it into the sauce to retain the crunchiness. On top of that they provide you with two sauce's as well. Definitely coming back here again and will be my go to place in the future.

We came to this place because we happened to be 1 min away from this place, but a WHAT A FIND!!! I really like the potato salad with avocado, seaweed and ebiko (part of the Nana Chicken Bento set). It has crispiness, ebiko popping with a bit of saltiness and the seaweed crunching in your mouth as you eat it. The fragrance of the salad dressing and sweet mesh potato also added to the experience. The side dishes was so good that my friend was ignoring the rice and chicken (which by the way was pretty good too). I had the tempura udon and my friend ordered the pork miso ramen. We enjoyed them too! We also ordered 3 side dishes: 1. Spicy Tofu Karaage 2. Spicy tuna something (see photo) 3. Fried kyoza Asking the three I loved the tofu best, followed by the kyoza. The tofu was lightly fried and the spicy sauce was a little sweet. The texture was really interesting. I find the tuna dish a little too salty for my pallet. My friends found it salty too. Overall I think it deserves a 4.5, but if you exclude the stuff I didn't like, this would be a 5!!! I'll come back when I'm back in Sydney.

I’ve tried everything on the menu here, and I have to say, everything is spot on! From the bento boxes to the sushi, sashimi and donburi. each dish is filled with flavours and authenticity. The salads are fresh and juicy, perfectly balancing out the richer dishes. But the highlight for me has to be the Pork Shogayaki ! tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It’s easily one of the best versions I've had. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great Japanese food. I'll definitely be coming back! I’ll give some other recommendations: • Chicken - Karaage chicken or teriyaki chicken • Beef - Teriyaki Beef or beef roll • Sashimi - Tasmania Donburi A must visit place in North Sydney !
