Good coffee and good food. Prices are fairly standard for a North Sydney cafe. I really like the decor and theme. One of the things which I think is key to the experience here is that the music they play actually matches the theme. They don't blast pop music like every other cafe. Please don't change this.
Staff / waitresses are all pretty cheerful and polite. They seem to really enjoy working here.
𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁 - 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: So I've been coming here most mornings for a while now. The quality of food and drinks here has stayed very high and the staff are still super friendly. Prices have risen a little I think - but this is probably due to inflation rather than a conscious decision by the manager. So that's just something to keep in mind when coming here.
Takeaway coffee is made pretty fast and is amazing as always. The main barista (I think his name is Peter, although I could be remembering wrong) is a pretty chill guy and makes a great coffee.
I haven't had many food items here except for the burger and fries a long time ago and also a ham & cheese croissant recently. Both were very good though. Would recommend.
The cafe is dog-friendly although pets can't be taken into the main inside dining area of course. Speaking of dogs, one of the huge highlights here is the owner/manager's Samoyed - Nomi. Always makes my day when I get to pet Nomi while waiting for my morning coffee.
In summary, Lost and Found is a great place to get your caffeine fix and eat some delicious food. There are plenty of options for both breakfast and lunch. The coffee is excellent, and the staff are friendly and super happy. The only downside is that it can be a bit pricey. As stated before though, the pricing is probably more a result of the economy and the type of area North Sydney is - so if management can find a way to lower prices a bit without dropping too much quality, that would make this place one of the top cafes in Sydney.
And hey, they're even open a bit longer each day than other cafes. That's a huge...

Environment 5/5 Other than the location is inconvenient for commuters, this is the perfect place! They have lots of plants that creates the garden and nature ambience. Almost everyone brought their pets here. We saw at least 10 dogs that day and they are all so cute. All busy drinking and eating and we saw some celebrating their pet’s birthday! You have a dog at home? Wink wink you know where to go now 😉
Service 5/5 Very attentive, when we enter, the staff assisted us to get our seat. Food and drinks are served quite fast. They offer table qr ordering as well, that just made the ordering and payment process a lot quicker as they are a busy cafe, I wouldn’t want to wait at the cashier to place my order.
Ice latter/ Ice long black 5/5 I think they are smart to let you experience making the coffee by yourself, not the entire process but at least the final part that you pour your espresso. Regardless what, the experience made the coffee perfect already.
Beef Burger 5/5 Portion size slightly too much for myself as an Asian. Beef is tender and juicy, amount of cheese is just right and the bun is soft. Fries are perfectly cooked and warm.
Steak sandwich 5/5 My wife loves it, that says everything 😂
Will I come back again? 5/5 Hell yes! But will drive here next time, too far from the train station.
Recommendation ice long black ice latte beef...
Read moreCame across this cafe in a number of social media posting and totally no regrets as I totally loved the coffee here. This review is only for the coffee and the cafe as a whole as my visit was for the coffee.
Located close to Victoria Cross Metro station, not too far from North Sydney train station and on the bus route, this cafe is easy to get to. Orders are placed at the counter and a table number will be issued. Patrons can choose anywhere to sit and the order will be brought to the table.
Love the coffee here as it is fragrant, rich in flavour and so smooth. It is at the right temperature and still tasted good even when the coffee was colder. Being able to enjoy the coffee in a place filled with loads of plants and quirky furniture, it is such a pleasure. The sound of the running fountain in the cafe also adds to the ambience. The whole cafe is very tastefully decorated and has a lot of personality. The music in the background is also at the right volume to complement the atmosphere. Staff were ok.
The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, which gives a good option for folks who may come here with their pets. One interesting section of the cafe is their retail area selling a lot of trinkets. Some can be rather quirky but definitely lots of character. Additionally, there is a toilet within the cafe and it is spacious. This is an amazing plus.
This is a nice cafe with character. A place I will be always happy to...
