Like veritable children in a sweet shop, when visiting San Churro our eyes glazed over with hungry sugar-craving delight. When gazing upon the menu, the chocolates on display and the gelato in the freezer making a choice seemed almost impossible. We had plenty of time to kill prior to a movie-date and the sun was shining so we were already in a good mood.

The lady serving was exceptionally friendly and helped us with our desire to indulge, when we went for a “create your own sundae” option. The number of possibilities was staggering! Following a theme guided us to a pleasing result; chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. A trio of chocolate ice creams (white, dark and milk) was then bedecked by brownie, chocolate-coated pretzel, fudge sauce and flakes. I was actually worried it would be too much for us to bite off, but as it happened it was the perfect sized treat to be shared by the two of us.

We are very keen to return with friends to share a dessert platter as there seem to be multiple options for friends to enjoy sweet times here.
