SOUL OASIS GLEBE — Restaurant in Sydney

Beautiful cafe in Glebe close to USYD, I've been to a lot of cafe's around Sydney City and ever since we discovered Soul Oasis, it's become a home away from home, with a homemade feel of food and a warm atmosphere.

The chefs' passion is shown through their food, with high quality ingredients and attentiveness to details, amazing food that really stands out from other cafes. The coffee was also amazing!!!! sourced from Australian roasters "Little Italy", we especially loved their Mocha's using real chocolate flakes.

They have the best Big Brekkie in Syd, served in a cast iron pan, with each element carefully prepared, it stays piping hot until the last succulent bite. Their Prawn and Chicken hangers are a great portion size. Delicious salad, fresh chips, and tender sweet prawns.

The staff are such nice and genuine people, who value thoughtful service and quality. I felt so welcome by their hospitality, and appreciate their thoughtful gestures. Firstly, the staff are always friendly, welcoming, and engaging and the service is pretty quick.

Secondly, the menu offers a wide variety of options for breakfast, brunch or lunch and the prices are very reasonable.

Now onto the food itself. All the dishes I've tried - including the mushroom and halloumi stack, shakshuka, chicken hangers, and potato hash - are very tasty, well-prepared, and well-presented. Very importantly to me, the chef, Nusrat, is very receptive to constructive feedback on ways to improve his dishes, which is certainly a refreshing attitude. He has readily embraced some of my suggestions, particularly for the shakshuka, to spice it up a little to be more in keeping with its Middle Eastern origins. Just today, after I suggested perhaps a little more spice even, he provided me with some of his own homemade chili sauce, which, when mixed in, gave the dish a wonderful boost of flavor and spiciness. Hint: Ask for some of his chili sauce on the side to enhance the flavour of practically any dish.

We had the most delightful breakfast experience at Soul Oasis Glebe! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly, and attentive, and went out of their way to make sure my experience was top-notch.

The menu offered a fantastic selection of breakfast classics and creative twists on traditional dishes. The food was delicious! The eggs were cooked to perfection, the toast was perfectly crispy, and the flavours were perfectly balanced. Paired with a freshly brewed cup of coffee.

What stood out to me was the attention to detail in both the food and service. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed, without rushing us. They take pride in both the quality of their food and the way they treat their customers.
