Sanctuary Hotel — Restaurant in Sydney

I had booked the Oasis Lounge, located in the Sanctuary Hotel, for a surprise birthday party for my partner and his best mate. Their birthdays were only a day apart, so I wanted to plan something special. I spoke with the event manager, Rose, who made organising the event incredibly easy. She answered all my questions and provided all the necessary information promptly. Her willingness to accommodate my requests made her service exceptional. She helped me with venue details, arranging payment, and sorting out catering and drinks. We had several exchanges, and she was always understanding and helpful. A big thank you to Rose!

I also want to give a shoutout to Jason, the manager on duty, and Eric, our bartender for the event. Jason was fantastic in accommodating my requests, including the placement of the pool tables and coordinating when the cakes should be brought out. Eric was very accommodating with my guests and was quick to adhere to any restrictions I had set for the bar tab.

The event was a great success, so thank you to the entire team for making it a night to remember! Props to the kitchen staff for preparing delicious food that my guests loved. I will definitely book again for another event if the occasion ever comes...

One of the things that sets their Bistro apart is its affordability. The prices are reasonable, which is a relief for someone who loves to dine out without breaking the bank. The fact that we can enjoy high-quality food at such a great value keeps us coming back time and time again.

My steak, in particular, is always cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. The chicken tacos and pork tacos never fail to impress with their mouthwatering flavours, and the schnitzel is a true delight.

It's good to note that the $15 steak, doesn't come with a salad. Additionally, if you desire sauce to accompany your meal, there is a separate charge of $3. While these details may seem minor, they are worth considering for those seeking a complete dining experience.

It is worth mentioning that the serving time can occasionally be longer than expected. However, as a loyal customer, I have grown to appreciate the cozy ambiance of the place. The wait becomes a time to relax and enjoy the company of friends or loved ones.

Today we went to the hotel for dinner with a reservation at the bistro. When at the entrance we saw the security guard berating a young girl but didn't really take much notice. He asked for ID which we gave before asking the 15 year olds for ID. My aunt chimed in saying they were under-age and we were just here for bistro as the younger girls were looking a bit scared to speak up. He nastily turned around and told her in one of the most arrogant and rude tones I've encountered "excuse me, I wasn't asking you. let me do my job" it took everyone visibly aback at the bluntness and rudeness considering all we were doing was eating at the bistro and told him they were under-age. I don't know what type of power trip he was on but I have genuinely never encountered a seccie like that being so nasty to anyone, let alone a group of older women and young girls. It left a bitter taste in our mouth for the night and we couldn't get in anywhere else. Hope this guy realises he needs to take a moment and reflect what's got him so high and mighty and how he is okay speaking to...
