Me and my family went to the shop last Saturday ! My son brought a scooter with him. I know we shouldn’t done that. There was a staff member walked straight to my son and said that “YOU SHOULD NOT RIDE IN THE STORE, YOU KNOW THAT IF SOMETHING HAPPEN YOU COULD NOT AFFORD IT” don’t you think this was too much to speak to the kid? He’s actually 8 y. My husband did say “SORRY TO HER” but she suddenly walk away. She was so so rude. I could not believe that the big and nice store will hire this kind of ppl like her. Her attitude’s extremely broken! If the store have to choice to hire a good staff may be you should consider to keep her just at the back door don’t let her come out to deal this kind of disgusting to your customer. She doesn’t even know how to deal with the customer and I think I could not even talking about the service mind, of cause she has NONE SENSE of the customer service!!! There were 100 ways to tell the customer that your store not allow to bring the scooter in!!! Instead of throwing that disgusting word to my son. My husband tried to walk around to find her unfortunately she’s gone somewhere!!!. or may be she has been flushed to the toilet !!! then we decided to leave the shop without purchasing anything. I just think that would help the owner or branch manager to consider and escalate this complain to improve...
Read moreI had a disappointing experience at Daiso recently that left me feeling disheartened. As someone born in Taiwan, I'm fluent in both Mandarin and English. I normally speak English, but I politely asked a female staff member in Mandarin when I couldn't find a product, especially SINCE she was already conversing with her friend in the language loudly on the floor and she is probably from Taiwan too.
As I wasn't sure the name of the product, I described it in Mandarin. To my surprise, her attitude shifted noticeably. She responded with an annoyed tone, saying the product name in English, almost as if to emphasise how I should have known it in English. After that, she continued chatting loudly with her friend, complaining about they should not have chatted in Mandarin because customers will ask for help in the language.
It was a shocking moment for me, as I felt discriminated against by someone from my own cultural background. I expected a more respectful and professional interaction, but instead, I was made to feel unwelcome simply for speaking a language we both share. This experience was disappointing and left me questioning the inclusivity...
Read moreUnpleasant, passive aggressive behaviour from store staff.
We entered 15 min before closing time with plans to just grab something quickly and leave. The staff did not deny entry to new customers. Barely a few mins after entering, the staff turned OFF all the lights and started closing the front gate. There was no announcement or other indication from staff that they were closing the store. This is completely unacceptable behaviour.
It was pitch black and everyone scrambled to exit the store. In the store was also a mother with a pram and her young child. The child almost tripped on the shelves, which is dangerous. I hope the Daiso management are aware that if an incident happened on the premises, they would be liable for this.
If they plan to close early in the future, they should deny entry to new customers and have a PA or store-wide announcement that they are closing. I will not be visiting this store again until there are changes made to the way...
