Tasted great! Solid quality.
We ordered the steamed chicken & avo, and Sichuan beef. The beef had a lovely crumb coating and cut through with a paper knife very well. The texture was perfect for me.
Pricing is rather high ($16-$21 for one) but the ingredients felt fresh and I gotta admit, the taste made it worth it. It was also rather filling. I felt quite full. They had a special deal with 2 sandwiches and a free hot drink (we got sencha).
There are some other pre-made sandos on display which are cheaper than most items on the menu if you need to grab and go as well.
I do wish that there was a dine-in option for the cups/drinks and the sandoitches for environmental reasons and because there were dine-in tables available at that part of the shopping strip. It would feel better drinking out of proper cups / eating off plates (but the practicality of the box is good because it kept all the loose bits such as lettuce contained and clean).
Staff were friendly! The seating was pretty average, but I adored the aesthetic of the shop and how cohesive it felt. Comfy vibes.

Read moreWe finally tried this popular Japanese sando joint in Chatswood Chase mall and ordered their winter special tamago sando with shredded truffle ($25) and tonkatsu sando ($17.50). The sandwich came in nice box packaging, but good things stopped there.
The food are not bad, but they're not special either to justify the high prices charged. The egg was nice and had fluffy texture, but the milk sandwich bun were too soft and easy to get soggy with the sauces and stuff inside the sandwich. The buns were broken easily since they cannot hold the thick fillings and got soggy as I mentioned above. They should use better buns or wrap their sandwich tightly like some good burger chain (e.g. Betty's) to ensure customers can eat them easily with their hands and avoid messy filling and sauce got out of the sandwich. The pork katsu also did not have good crispiness you like from the dish, maybe due to too much soggy sauce coating them. I also did not smell nice truffle aroma so it was just expensive gimmick.

Read moreI came here last Sunday and ordered the breakfast combo with the egg sando and a coffee.
The sando was not as good as the ones in the city store - although I didn't order the same thing so you could argue that...there is just a bit too much yuzu mayo in proportion to the egg in my opinion. I didn't have that issue with the other sandos (I ordered 3 last time) when I visited the city store. It is hard to tell from the photo because I didn't take a photo after taking them out. Possibly cause the egg is thinner at the bottom of the sando (in relation to the box).
The coffee was disappointing. I was the only customer for both the sando and the coffee. My sando was ready before the coffee and the coffee was a little burnt.
I can't really blame them for the "atmosphere" because they don't really have their own shop. It is in the middle of the shopping centre if you know what I mean. I was sitting at the tables that are likely provided for them as they are just next to the shop. But no matter which seat I sat on, the smell from the fishmonger was still...
