Unfortunately, pretty disappointed with the food and quantity. I normally go with my partner and order the banquet for 2, But unfortunately we went in today with others about 9 of us and was pretty disappointed with the amount of food that came out. We ordered the banquet for 4 people and a couple more items on the menu. When we received the banquet the servings shocked us as it was the same serving as we would get when we would order it for 2 people. The only thing that we got extra was having another plate of pickles and bread. We paid an extra $160.00 for what we would of normally gotten when when we would order for 2 on every other day my partner and I are there which we normally pay $80.00. You would think that all the dishes would of at least been double or at least have more if you are order for 4 people. We did order other items off the lunch menu as was disappointed as this was the first time we ate of the lunch menu. The chips were cold not even fresh or hot and the meat shawarma was dry and over cooked. The lemon garlic chicken was didn't even taste like it had any lemon or garlic but at least it wasn't dry. The mixed plate was also dry and over cooked the only that wasn't on the mixed plate that was bad was the kafta skewers.

With the amount of money went spent there was very disappointing we spent about $300 and with the amount of food received was definitely not worth it.

The only main positive thing I can say is that 3 of the waiters who waited on us were amazing an very friendly a female that was in traditional clothing had amazing service and the tall gentleman and a young...

This place is a total rip-off, but done skillfully. The prices are outrageous for food that is so basic, you could make it at home for $1-2.

I went with my daughter and ordered Shanglish eggs and a mocha. The bill came to around $21-25. The dish was just four eggs with some cheese and sujuk on top—something anyone could easily prepare at home. To make matters worse, they gave me the wrong order. I told the waitress, and she took the plate to the kitchen, then returned within a minute. It felt like the chef just removed the sujuk by hand and sent the same dish back out.

They once sold ice cream, and seeing a long line, I thought it must be either free or cheap. Turns out, it was $10 for a simple soft serve with pistachios on top! Unbelievable.

I honestly think this place is pulling a well-crafted scam, and I'm genuinely baffled as to why it has 5-star reviews. The food doesn’t deserve more than 2 stars at best, maybe for the aesthetic of the shop. But seriously, what are they serving, and how are they getting these 5-star reviews? Are these bots or paid reviews? This has been the worst Lebanese food experience I’ve had in Australia.

If you're a multimillionaire or billionaire, it might make sense to waste some money here. But for an average middle-class family, this place is definitely not suitable for a regular dining experience, especially given the terrible quality...

On the 6th of April 2025, I took my friend that is confined to a wheelchair to Shanklish Bankstown Central. He ordered 2 of the hummus with mincemeat and Kibbeh to takeaway. After I took him to his home and opened the food for him, it was upsetting to see it was prepared from few days ago and has been stored in the Shanklish refrigerator where you can see the frozen leaked fat of the mincemeat of the edges of the plastic container. And the food came with pickles with tomato slices but it had an uninviting smell to it. And the lebanese bread was stale. My friend paid over $80 for his order. It so sad that restaurants like this taken advantage of people with disability and serving them leftover food. If we had food inceptors that goes around to inspect the quality of the restaurants, owners will think twice to ever sell leftover food. I advise people that order to takeaway to check their food on the spot before leaving. And if you get cheated more than once, don’t support such restaurants by going again. We work hard for our money and we demand a great quality of the food we order to eat. I ask the restaurant manager to inspect his quality of food and not to serve leftover food...

We enjoyed a traditional Lebanese breakfast at Shanglish Bankstown Central this morning, and the experience was great, beginning to end. We were welcomed by a gentleman dressed in traditional Lebanese garb, serving Lebanese coffee on a cart at the door. We shared a variety of breakfast meals, and each one was full of flavour and so fresh. Staff were attentive and polite. It's obvious the owners paid a lot of attention to detail when designing the store, the decor was modern and still it complemented the traditional feel of the restaurant, to the point where it's easy to forget you're sitting in a busy shopping centre. At times there was a line up of people waiting for a table for a short while, which is not surprising! One of my favourite details was the Lebanese tea served out of a metal teapot, into small glass teacups, like my Jedo used to enjoy. If you're looking for a Lebanese bite at a cosy location with a welcoming and transitional feel, this is the place to go, I highly recommend Shanglish!

Great atmosphere and presentation, very modern fit-out but that's where the goodness ends. Dips for mixed platter are served on a flat board so very hard to use bread to scoop it up. Very tight on the Lebanese utensil of bread, I asked for another basket and it came with 2 triangles, probably left over from another table. Had to ask for water twice before it came out. The chef is definitely not Lebanese, probably Jordanian or Iraqi. The Lamb doesn't come on a skewer, you get two lamb patty/rissole things cooked on a hot plate, no gas grill I'm guessing? The lamb and chicken stir fry slices was stupidly over spiced and blanketed with onions so no point in having side preserves and garlic also on the table. The tabouli was drenching with lemon juice and polluted with thickly diced red onion. Overall for the food, a 3/10. I recommend keep looking if you want a real Lebanese meal with more food for the same price but this is good if you want to look fancy on a date or business lunch.
