Sittano's Penrith — Restaurant in Sydney

We did not make a reservation so they squeezed us in to be out in a hours time as they had a reservation due, so I was thankful for that as we just wanted a meal before attending hoyts and it was actually perfect timing we had two adults, two children and a teenager to feed. I ordered the fantasia with chicken breast ($28.90) which was basically a chicken breast with sundried tomatoes, avocado on a bed of mash and veg with a creamy garlic and white wine sauce. Firstly my meal had very little taste and as I started eating my meal I realised the avocado pieces (not slices) were literally brown and looked like mushrooms. I mentioned it to the waitress and to my astonishment replied " I'll let them know" what!? How about "I'm sorry about that I'll let management know." But I got nothing in return. We asked for the bill and slipped $200 in the book and they didn't even bother to return to us with our change and thank us for our business let alone mention the issue raised with our meal. So I was actually disgusted that we had even bothered with them. not even the garlic cheese pizza had taste. Unfortunately my kids cheeseburgers didnt even have sauce on it, luckily we ordered a side of sauce for the kids chips otherwise thier burgers would of consisted of bun, meat patty and cheese with a side of chips with no sauce ...!?? Anyways just rushed, no time taken to make meals tasty, overpriced for what you get, bad quality produce being served so if anyone attends this place and orders a meal that consists of avocado be sure to ask for green avocado...lol. i won't be returning. I should have returned the meal straight away but since how we were on a time limit I just ate the meal minus the brown avocado.

If you want a real Italian meal that's tasty and worth the money try Rosettis...

Went here for lunch and I can honestly say was a little underwhelmed by the quality of the food compared to the price. The location and atmosphere is really nice so on arrival we were expecting it to be high quality food. We were surprised when our food arrived. We started with some garlic bread which was burnt.

The kids ordered nuggets and chips but even the quality of them was below average, you'd be better off making some at home in an air fryer. The chips had no seasoning and the nuggets were hard and dry.

My other son ordered the burger which was also average. I ordered the pasta bascaiola with a Caesar salad, the sauce was too cheesy and pasta not cooked enough, while the salad was good. My partner ordered the chicken schnitzel with chips and salad and he gave it a 5/10.

Word of advice, this place looks fancy, prices are fancy, but food is anything but. I would give a higher score if the entree wasn't bad. Not a good way to start off a meal. I would've complained to staff but what's the point if you're serving food of that quality and see nothing wrong taking it out. So I'll leave this review instead, for any future customers thinking of...

My review would be so different if not for the price. Sittano's charge you an EXORBITANT amount of money for below average food. $34 for pasta and the prawns are just boiled prawns with the shell removed - not opened, not fried. Nothing. Not even the poop vein was removed. Sauce has only a little bit of flavour. $48 for a steak that comes with ONE (1) single piece of broccolini. I come back to this place every few years thinking maybe now it'll be okay, but it's always beyond disappointing. Would reccomend saving your money and going literally anywhere else. It's not so bad that it's inedible - just below average and not reflective of the price charged. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is great, so I wouldn't care if the prices were reasonable for the quality received. But the prices are not reasonable for the quality received. In the city for this price I would receive significantly nicer food - based off the other reviews I can only assume the people of Penrith have been hard done by by local restaurants and need to be exposed to actually good food. Either that or this place is buying good reviews to boost...
