ThaiThae Penrith — Restaurant in Sydney

Tried it for the first time today as the store looked inviting unfortunately we were a bit let down.

We sat down and there was only one other couple dining there but it took ages for the waitress to come over and take our order, she wouldn't even give us eye contact forages for me to be able to let her know we were ready and we had to ask for a drinks menu as we weren't provided with one. Also there were silver cups on the table which we assumed were for water but they already had water residue in them and just didn't look nice to drink from so we asked for glasses as we saw other diners had asked for them as well.

The food came out very quick and was very nice and reasonably priced. My Thai milk tea was gone in like two sips as the glass had heaps of ice and wasn't very big.

The music kept cutting in and out on the speaker which was annoying. We were very friendly to our waitress(very skinny, bit of blonde in her hair) but she hardly said two words to us and seemed annoyed ( however when walking out the other girls were very friendly and asked how everything was and said have a nice day etc).

Probably would go back for takeaway but...

Should have read all the "honest" reviews before ordering, all the negative reviews are the same, they keep the profit high by packing full of cheap noodles and rice and save on the protein. The comments are the same for all the delivered food as they cant get away with this in the restaurant.

Our first family take with this restaurant. Ordered 6 simple common Thai meals tonight that any Thai resturant should smash out.

2 were OK but 4 of the meals had almost no meat - Pad Thai was all flavoured noodles, 4 tiny slithers of chicken the size of a 50c coin and a oily rotti that was the size of a saucer. The crab fried rice had just one one piece of crab! and was a whole tub of rice with wilted lettuce. The Thai green curry was all sauce and 2 small pieces of meat.

The only positive was the taste was OK but so are 2 minute noodles and microwave rice sachets which are a lot cheaper.

Wasted $130 on flavoured noodles and rice, will certainly never ordering again when they rip off customers like this!

Someone did a rush job and cooked the dish by cracking an egg into the food without bothering to cook the eggs first .The uncooked egg spoilt the whole dish and instead of rice noodles I got egg soup and stomach cramps. This is common with some cooks they won’t bother about whether the eggs are cooked … which a great recipe for food poisoning and abdominal cramps. Sadly there is no way to amend the order within the delivery app if you don’t want mushrooms or an egg soup taste all too bad your getting mushrooms and uncooked egg. As there’s a nice msg in the app ( this business has chosen not to accept special requests) again too bad your getting it cooked in reverse of what really should be the customers right to choose how they like their food cooked...
