Sloppy Tee's — Restaurant in Sydney

Just ordered their chicken wrap with honey mustard which there was non just changed with mayo even though I didn’t ask for that. Had day old brown black avocado, tomato, dead rocket and cheese.

Avo was black and spoiled, tasted like dishwashing soap had been spilt in it.

Had one bite threw the rest out.

There been there for coffee twice regretted not learning from my mistake going there from the last two experiences.

The staff are nice but at the end of the day the food is what matter mainly in the reviews which can’t possiblly be rated honestly at 4 whatever it is. Rigged rating system for sure and bot votes. Is you ask me.

Even if this place was the only place open in collaroy on any given day I’d go hungry till I got home that how unimpressive the wrap was. I feel like I should I just got a lighter out and burned my money.

I’ll mention atmosphere is rated 1 or whatever because this isn’t some kind of classy restaurant it’s just a cafe so I’d pretty much rate any cafe the same due to this reason. Going if previous review due to the small size of this place there is only so many employee cooks you can fit in their kitchen so no doubt will be chaotic on a busy day.

A shame these guys started slugging on a surcharge for using EFTPOS. Card payment is ubiquitous, and part of the cost of doing business, along with rent, electricity etc. They should simply include the 1-3% card fees in their cost structure and set their prices accordingly.

The owner made a quip at another reviewer's complaint about this same issue, saying they found the unhappy customer's 'gripe' 'really annoying' :-|

Card surcharges were made illegal several years ago elsewhere around the world - Australia needs to catch up on this.

Fortunately the majority of other local food outlets don't penalise their customers for paying with their cards.

It also doesn't help that some prices are not displayed on the large main menu board - you have to locate a menu book to work out what...

They charge you more than the price advertised. They charge you more without letting you know. When I asked why was I paying more than the price advertised they said: That's how the economy goes! 😳 This are all facts! I would recommend advising the customer that you will charge more before doing so. I would have refused to pay more and left. But you sneak attack charged me more without telling me. Same happen to the 2 customers before me as I did not hear them being advised about being charged more. It was not professional and ruined my lunch. Do not eat there.
