Social Dining — Restaurant in Sydney

We were lucky enough to have our ‘Love Party’ wedding reception at Social Dining by Verandah Bar and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to hold our event at this venue. From the very start, Emily and the team (a special mention also to Katie and Saskia) went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and exactly what we had envisioned. The space and décor are beautiful and the layout of the venue allowed us to comfortably fit a photo booth and the musician whilst guests could still sit down, stand or dance. The musician even commented that it was his favourite reception venue so far! The canapes and drinks were absolutely delicious and Social catered perfectly for everyone’s dietary needs. The guests are still making endless comments about the fantastic venue, the friendly staff and the quality of the food. We cannot speak highly enough about Social and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect area to hold any type of event. I helped my friend plan her wedding and we relied on reviews from others on venues so hopefully this helps others too! We looked at Social Dining for the reception and it was the last venue on our list to look at.. it turns out, we had saved the best for last. My friend wanted a cocktail style reception for 110 people and this was the perfect venue. From planning to delivery, the staff and customer service was incredible (thank you Emily and Katie!) and we knew we were in good hands. The venue itself has an island bar (service was quick) and great decor.. we barely needed to add any decoration of our own. Food and drink were great too! Any requests were welcome and accommodated, and response time to queries were answered efficiently.

I highly recommend this venue for a Sydney CBD wedding reception.. so much fun and enough room for groups to have their own pockets of space in the one room. 10/10!!! Thank you thank you...

My husband and I recently held our wedding reception at Social at Verandah, and it was quite possibly the best party we have every been to. Our family and friends are still talking about it and are all planning to return for dinner and drinks! Maddy and Katie did an amazing job organising and hosting us. They are both very professional but also incredibly warm people which made the planning so easy and stress free. The space is gorgeous, the food and drinks were so amazing and everyone left well satisfied. The staff were all lovely and accomodating and we could tell everyone there was committed to us and our guests having the best time!
