Unforgettable Dining Experience at Spiced @ Barangaroo 10000/10 Recommend Spiced @ Barangaroo if you want to go for a simple dinner or have an AMAZING dinner party that you and your guests will remember FOREVER! I cannot express my gratitude for this restaurant and how they put all their heart into making sure you receive the BEST FOOD AND SERVICE. I did my partners surprise birthday here with 40 guests which was a slightly difficult task to accomodate everyone but every single person left happy and satisfied with the food, portions, drinks and the great service that all their staff offer. A Heartfelt Thank You to the Manager (Mehul) who takes great pride in his work and passion for hospitality shines through in every interaction. He is one the sweetest and easiest people you can talk to who really wants to pay attention and do his best in every aspect to ensure you have the greatest night ever without a stress! We had the finest waitress on the day (Kriti) who was professional and attentive but also genuinely warm and welcoming. She had a smile on the whole night and was dedicated to ensure that all guests are attended to (not an easy task when there's 40 people talking at once hahaha). The FOOD was nothing short of SENSATIONAL! We opted for the Special Banquet, treating ourselves to an array of mouthwatering starters like Broccoli Kebabs, Macchli Amritsari, and Chicken Tikka, followed by mains including Butter Chicken, Nilgiri Korma, and Kadhai Paneer. I even got to try the Xacutti chicken which was a delightful departure from the usual Butter Chicken, and a must-try for anyone seeking a unique Indian chicken dish. I am already eagerly anticipating my next visit to explore more of Spiced's culinary delights. And let's not forget the Dirty Mango Lassi - an absolute must-have! The blend of traditional Indian flavours with a hint of alcohol was a refreshing twist that left us craving more. Beyond the exceptional food, what truly amazed me was the AMBIENCE of Spiced, nestled in the beautiful location of Barangaroo with its waterfront views and great place to take photos. Despite the upscale setting, the cost was reasonable, making it an accessible yet luxurious dining destination in Sydney!

Spiced by Billu's is in the trendy dining precinct at Barangaroo, just by the ferry terminal, so it has a lovely view of the water. It would also be a great place for a long lunch on a weekend. We were here for a Sunday evening dinner, the seating is alfresco (yet covered) under dimmed lights and heaters to keep us warm. Originally set up in Harris Park, known to cater for celebrities such as Chris Gayle and Steve Waugh. They have opened this upscale restaurant in Barangaroo and as soon as we met the host, we felt like we were dining with experienced restauranteurs. It is a little pricy, but you aren't in Harris Park and lets face it you are paying a little extra for the location and the view. We were offered drinks, they have a small bar and have a good range of alcohol including Indian beer, one of my favourites; Kingfisher beer. The tables are set with some beautiful crystal and copper cutlery. There are a lot of great choices on the menu, hard to make a decision. They do a banquet menu $40-$45 if visiting in a group of 4 or more. We began with the Vegetarian platter with onion bhaji, lovely soft filling and light crispy outer crust), the paneer an Indian cheese which had a nice spice coating and the the vegetable samosas were quality, with a nice soft filling with a spice kick. We followed this with dhal tarka, one of the best we have tried. Naan is a standard whenever we visit an Indian restaurant and the cheese naan was perfect to mop up any left over sauce. Speaking of sauce the braised lamb shank had a deliciously fragrant sauce and good balance of spice. As to be expected, the lamb fell off the bone. The biryani was recommended and did not disappoint. A traditional rice dish, the indian version of fried rice. An explosion of taste and texture, the rice cooked with onions, garlic, ginger, cashew nut, raisins and spices.

I've tried both the other main 2 casual dining Indian restaurants in the Sydney CBD and went to Spice with high expectations. I would say it wasn't great mainly because of the food. We reached the place around 12.30 pm on a Saturday and the place was almost empty. We sort of liked it because we can eat peacefully. The manager and the girl who provided the service were average. There was no extra effort to make a nice greeting or some guidance on the menu. Just average. They showed us the table which was nice and cleanly arranged. The menu was simple and short. I liked this. There were only 2 pages but they had so many varieties. The menu has been organized nicely. We ordered a seafood platter, a goat biriyani, cheese, and garlic naan, butter chicken, a veggie curry, an onion salad, and a bowl of steamed rice. The fish on the seafood platter was not fresh. Looked like they fried it on an earlier day. Please don't do this if you are doing it. Prawns and Calamari were nice. Butter chicken and the veggie curry were the best. They were so good and full of flavor. Naans were not so fluffy, and the onion salad was nothing but an onion cut in rings. They had even forgotten to remove the root head. Goat biriyani wasn't so great either. It was garnished with Almond slices which added some different texture. But I wish the biriyani itself had some flavor. The vibes and cleanness were great. Service was average and they can definitely do better. Food is the main point for improvement I guess. Hopefully, these will get addressed when we return. Good luck with everything.

This is one of the most pathetic experience I have ever had in my life. Went to this restaurant for dinner with two kids and the lady at the reception says that there is a rule that I have to spend $40 per person minimum or above to dine in here. This is a rule - SERIOUSLY ?

When I mentioned , I am not ordering for a buffet. I am here for A la carte , I was told irrespective of the food, you would be ordering , The bill should be in excess of $160, nor they won’t be able to accommodate us. When mentioned we are with 2 kids - YES , Rule applies to kids too.

With other venues nearby closed, we still opted for it. Next comes, the quality and service of the food Which was not less than a shocker. While ordering the dishes, our bill stood around 160. However, the lady kept on insisting indirectly that the bill is less, so we have to order more to make the bill around $190.. The quality of the food was really Bad. There was no taste of spices, and the food was completely bland. Wrong drinks were served to us, and when we pointed out that they are serving alcohol to our children. She immediately apologised, citing so much rush. Then came our actual drinks, however, they were also not together, but one by one. Imagine the entree is served First , then comes the first drink, then comes two more drinks and then a reminder that the fourth drink is still missing , which arrives when all 3 are done with their drinks . Next waited almost half an hour for the food to arrive. The amount of food served can make you laugh of what the choice we made . The saffron rice had no saffron but yellow color ? The chicken dishes were bland and the mutton was recooked . The missing nan from our order arrived after we were finished .

I could never expect a restaurant running with a rating of 4+ with such a type of customer service here in the heart of...
