Today, my friend and I visited this coffee shop during the opening hours, having spent an hour doing our makeup for a photo session because the weather was perfect. Many people were taking photos at the open windows, so we bought some coffee and prepared to do the same. Just then, a staff member closed the windows. I politely asked if they could reopen it for our photos, and the staff member explained that the boss had instructed him to close it and there was nothing he could do, then pointing out who the boss was.
I approached the boss, still very polite, but was met with a rude demeanor and dismissive attitude. She simply said, "I just locked it," and "I just don't want to." I was shocked by her lack of courtesy. I could have accepted any reason for keeping the window closed, but "I just don't want to" is unacceptable, especially when other customers were allowed to take photos. This felt like unfair treatment, and it left me wondering if this was a form of racial discrimination.
Why should customers have to endure such negative attitudes after spending their money? Additionally, the coffee was subpar. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment.
*Answering the owner’s reply: you could tell me any reason instead of saying “I just don’t want to”. 2.I didn’t know you closed early because your staff told me the kitchen was closed but the cafe and bar was still open and there were other customers ordering or taking photos. 3.And you also teach me how should I visit other cafes haha that is ridiculous. Instead, why don’t you have a poster says “no photo taking when...

Read moreThis cafe was brilliant. I was taken there by a friend who goes there 'religiously' due to the great food and service. She was right. I can usually find one or two items on a menu that I like, so go for that option. At St Judes, I found at least 8, and deliberated over what to order, until it became quite awkward with the waiter standing there waiting so patiently. I decided on the Chicken Burger with beetroot & sweet potato chips. If I was on death row, this would be my last meal - amazing. To satisfy my sweet tooth, I had to choose from a small selection of slices/pastries, but the coconut & rhubarb slice with marscopne hit the spot. Service was very understated and laid back but not in a bad way. Street parking wasn't an issue either. Will...
