Went there with my family tonight thinking the sushi train service and food would be similar to other Sushi Hub take away places. Sat down and looked at the food on the train and noticed that the food has been sitting on the train for a some time (seaweed sides rolled in, colour of the chicken, fish and rice looked dull and not fresh). Regardless, I gave it a chance and sat and picked a plate then asked the male waiter and ordered some dishes, he pointed to the train and I told him the food wasn't fresh and asked a new one to be made. He gave me a bit of grief and explained it was fresh, but then turned around and picked the second plate literally off the train. I reiterated that it wasn't fresh and looked like it had been on the train the whole day and asked that they make a new one. He just looked at me blankly and I said don't worry about and left with my family. I left and went to a other sushi train and asked they make me some dishes and they did so with no issues.
I am going to say I will not go to this Sushi Hub or any sushi hub again. That was ridiculous and the attitude of the staff was terrible. I had not written a review in a long time and that says a lot about the service and food...
Read moreHad grilled prawn nijgiri, had an off flavour and strong bait prawn smell, when irasied with staff, i was told fresh to day but when look closer there is clear colour difference to one at the end that I was served from. When I asked what temperature was this display fridge, it was set at 15 degrees........(below 5 degrees is NSW food code under sushi guilde) Also no time or date displayed anywhere that i could see. so I have no idea long it was in there or day it was made. I did ask the staff to take them to their kitchen to check but they did nothing.
Edit(also was told that the kitchen fridges were set to 5 degrees, so two different temp)

Rude staff members especially when they have a large sign advertising free miso if you spend over $16. We spent $50+ total and got 2 misos and they were going to charge us. When we pointed out their poster they said it's for takeaway only (there's no mention of this anywhere on the advertisement). Staff then tried to argue and said word for word "that's not what it says (referring to takeaway only) on the poster but that's what it means miso free for takeaway only)".
I said it is misleading and clearly no one knows that since it's not written anywhere. They can proceed in discussing what to do in Mandarin (which I understood!!) And they said just this time you get the miso for free and rolled their eyes in annoyance.
