Atmosphere is amazing — but unfortunately, that’s the only highlight. I really wanted to like this place. The setting is beautiful and cozy, and I genuinely enjoyed sitting there and chatting with friends after eating. But sadly, the food and drinks were a big letdown. 1. Truffle Feta Egg Toast – The egg itself was nice, but the toast was far too soggy and the overall flavour was bland. Definitely didn’t live up to the name or price. 2. Iced Cheesy Matcha – This was a mess. The cheesy foam was dripping outside the glass, which made the cup sticky and really unpleasant to hold. Serving it like this is not acceptable. 3. Big Breakfast – Nothing technically wrong, but the taste was very average. 4. Coffee – Just okay. Not memorable in any way. I want to point out that the photo I took was already halfway through. A full portion would have more food than what is in the photo. Overall, size is not bad. Overall, I left feeling really disappointed. It’s a lovely place to sit, but I wouldn’t come back for the food or drinks. I hope they improve because the venue has a lot of potential.

Before arriving, I reviewed some feedback and must emphasize that Dano Themano's review struck me as remarkably laughable and entitled. It's relieving that the owners chose not to dignify such a pathetic attempt to manipulate the system by ordering a child's meal for an adult. How does dementia relate to ordering a child's meal, and how does refusing such an order equate to discrimination? The level of entitlement displayed here is absurd, and I sincerely hope the owners consider banning this individual permanently for attempting such a scam. Anyway, came here for the first time and ordered the Jungle Brekky with extra bacon, cooked well done. Compliments to the chef on knowing how to cook bacon properly and you should give some lessons to the poor excuse of a chef downstairs at The Common Ground. Just look at the photos I have posted on their review. The dish was excellent and every element was cooked right. The coffee and pink lemonade was also excellent. The service was great from every staff member we came across. Will be back!

First time here for breakfast and service was quite efficient considering a busy Saturday. There were a lot of choices on the menu and we ordered the Yuzu Benny, XO Mushroom and Jungle Brekky. The food was delicious, well presented and instaworthy. The serving size was quite generous with the Jungle Brekky. If there was a bit more Yuzu flavour in the sauce for Yuzu benny that would be even better. The 63 degree poached eggs were cooked to perfection and once again they were very generous with the hash browns which we loved. I also wished the Belgium hot chocolate could be richer as it tasted a bit miky. Coffees were good. What impressed me the most was how well the cafe's wait staff handled our complaint. They were very attentive, responsive and genuinely apologetic. It could easily be a make or break situation but they handled it well so we will be coming back! Great food, great service and great attitude I am sure business like that will continue to thrive!

Don’t Go!

I’ve been a loyal customer of this coffee shop for a long time, visiting daily as an employee at the shopping center. The staff (especially the female baristas) have always been lovely—they even offered to let me use coffee stamp card to earn free drinks over time, though I never insisted on it. In fact, when I was once told I had a free drink, I politely declined and paid as usual.

However, my experience on the 21st was unacceptable. A male staff member (possibly the owner?) acted rudely when I mentioned my employee discount—as I always do. The moment he saw me looking for the stamp card, he gave me a disgusted look and abruptly told me I couldn’t use it, accusing me of "double-dipping" on discounts.

Let me be clear:

His coworkers were the ones who suggested the stamp card in the first place. If there was a policy change, a simple, polite explanation would’ve been fine. Instead, he treated me like I was cheating the system. The irony? I never even cared about the free drinks—I just enjoyed the friendly service. That’s why I recommended this place to so many people (who paid full price, by the way). But after this incident, I’m done. Westfield has plenty of better coffee options, and I won’t tolerate being treated with such disrespect.

If you dislike rude surprises, skip this place—they’re not special enough to justify...

This cafe discriminates against people with mental impairments/disabilities, many of whom are very finicky with their food and and will often only eat a very limited range of foods. Upon attending this venue, I discretely advised the waitress that my mother suffers from dementia and that the only thing she would order from the menu was the kids nuggets and chips. She advised that we could not order this and I asked if due to my mother's impairment, if she could ask someone in charge if an exception could be made. The waitress returned, advising that we could not order from the children's menu, regardless of my mother's disability. I was forced to leave the cafe and felt very discriminated against on my mother's behalf. I'm still considering whether to report this venue to Anti-Discrimination NSW.

I demand a very public apology, and the entire staff and owners to undergo competency training to understand their impact on people with disabilities. This is very disrespectful during this age of equality and understanding, to have such a negative behaviour towards the elderly with a debilitating disease.

Please don't take your ill parents to this venue, or even...
