Disappointing Experience with Declining Food Quality

I recently decided to give this place another chance, reminiscing about the days when we used to enjoy delicious Thai takeaways from here. Unfortunately, my return visit left me utterly disappointed as the food quality has taken a nosedive.

The most off-putting aspect was the pervasive use of oyster sauce in all their dishes, creating an overwhelming fishy smell. It was particularly disconcerting to bite into what should have been chicken or beef only to be met with an unpleasant fishy aroma. This peculiar addition significantly compromised the overall dining experience.

To add insult to injury, the chicken satay sauce, a once-beloved accompaniment, was nothing short of a disappointment. The sauce had been watered down to the point where it lacked any semblance of the rich, flavorful consistency that one would expect. It felt like a far cry from the delectable sauce we had enjoyed in the past.

As a resident of Willoughby and a former patron of this restaurant, I can confidently say that I will never be dining here again. The drastic decline in food quality and the unappetizing alterations to once-loved dishes have left a lasting negative impression. I hope this review serves as a cautionary note to others considering a visit...

Went to order takeaway for my son & I, b/c didn’t have time to sit down and eat, they said it would only take 10 minutes … So, as my 17yr old disabled son didn’t want to get out of car, I went back to him then returned to the restaurant more than 10 minutes later (prob 20 mins b/c he wanted to look at something) and they still hadn’t cooked our very basic meals … But, they served AT LEAST 4 other people food, who arrived/ordered AFTER me. I then had to wait longer, for them to finally cook our basic takeaway, they didn’t even apologise … The woman at the till was so careless and rude, then came up with the excuse that others people’s food was easier than ours (ie SO not true), instead of apologising nor compensating in any way. I am disgusted by the customer service and the quality of food was disgusting too ! The satay noodles were nauseatingly soft, as if they had been in microwaved a few times, and the 2 basic curries were very small & terrible quality (in every way) too !!! It looks much better in the photos, DO NOT EAT THERE !!!! That woman on the till should be fired too !!! Worst customer service ever and terrible quality food !!!! Don’t waste...

We were there on a public holiday and 10% surcharge was not really a surprise.

We got a table quickly and order some Thai flavor and Chinese verities.

Chilli Basil Beef was a good choice, so did Green curry chicken. Pad Thai was as good as it gets and Pad Se Ew was OK. Soft crab was also gone quickly.

Tom Yum soup everyone voted not to have it again in this place due to its sour and salty flavor, wonder if the Chef run out of paste that night.

KHA NA MOO GROB was not the talk of the night, there was no crispy left in the Crispy Pork by the time it reached our table.

We were sitting right next to the kitchen so it felt like you were actually on the Bangkok street … good or bad is in your mode.
