My family had come back a few times many years ago due to the few restaurants opening during the early days for handmade noodles with braised lamb. The salty lamb in the greasy soup was prefried and in fact not a healthy choice for adults.
Worst, around two years ago, I made a booking on Quando linked to Qantas frequent flyers that credit the customers points at the restaurant with the bookings. When we mentioned about our bookings at Quando, the shopkeeper was prepared to find us a table, but at the same time nonprofessionally and unethically asked me to cancel the booking at the Quando website to avoid the charge to her restaurant! She disclosed a high cost through the booking on the website otherwise. This was a highly embarrassing situation to me as well to my family member, wasting our time walking up the old staircases, in the unnecessary conversation, and making such a choice of the misleading restaurant and the booking, as if the booking in the platform was not right. She didn't appreciate the benefit from Quando having provided the promotion to her restaurant and with the older good reviews. Since then I developed doubts on the validity of the positive reviews due to their unfair behaviour and poor service.
Recently, my husband and me returned there for dinner, only to find out that their service has not improved and they were mean about giving a bigger table, which they wanted for a group of 3+ people at that time though after peak hours and quiet with most tables empty. So we immediately lost our interest and went to a better restaurant.
Following their lack of improvement in the service, work ethics and the environment, I think I need to spend some time ultimately in posting my feedback.
Highly...
Read moreWe chose this restaurant based on good reviews and were looking forward to a Chinese birthday dinner in Chatswood. Unfortunately, it was a letdown.
The portion sizes were very small, with the chilli deep fried pork and sweet and sour pork costing around $30 - 34 each. The pork was sliced very thin and small, making it not worth the price. The sweet and sour sauce was nice, but the chilli deep fried pork lacked flavour.
The honey chicken was another disappointment—the sauce tasted like pure honey, the batter was soggy, and the chicken pieces were also very thin and small. Again, this dish was around $30 - $34.
We also ordered soup dumplings, but the soup inside was bland and lacked depth.
To make things worse, the restaurant was unbearably hot (around 36°C), yet none of the three air conditioners or three fans were working. It was so hot in there we were all sweating and just wanted to eat and get out as quickly as possible. Because of the heat, we avoided ordering noodles or soup, which might have been better dishes.
On top of that, everything came out at different times with long gaps in between, so we couldn’t even eat all the food together. By the time some dishes arrived, the others would have gone cold, and we were just hungry and waiting.
Overall, this place is way overpriced for what it is, serving thin-sliced, cheap cuts of meat with poor service and no air conditioning. Would...

Walked the boys and pram up the stairs; enjoy the food (one of the first for my boys) and after cleaned the table and some food from the floor like any decent parent; in our way out the waitress asked my husband to get the brum and clean up the floor.. I am so disappointed of the way they treated us ; if you have kids don't go there, you are not welcomed.. hard enough for new parents to go out to be asked to clean! So far never been treated like this anywhere else . .
This place!! We discovered one day after work and since we can't stop going every week. So much to try but you definitely have to ask for their dumpling. Best place in Chatswood and...
