Betty's has a faux American burger shack feel like you're on the set of Beverley Hills 90210. Hello Harry Burgers would be its nearest competitor in Toowoomba but the shakes and desert put Betty's a step above them. The burgers are delicious, regardless of your burger there is a good serving of meat. We ordered the pork belly and southern fried chicken burger. They were succulent and full of flavour with the special sauce. They have an amazing array of thick shakes; the peanut butter shake was thick like Beyoncé.....awesome. The "concrete" is non-aerated ice cream so leave your stubbies, pluggas and high vis at home. The menu flavours go well and you can make your own which is a nice alternative. We had a side of onion rings that were a good compliment. The fries are similar to McDonald's but a tad salty, they would work out better if they were thick cut. They are licensed but the alcohol is crazy expensive. 8 bucks for a basic beer up to 12 for a Little Creatures. The shake is a better option Overall it's a great date spot and once the hype dies down and it's not as busy, it will be a nice go to burger shop.

Ordered the spicy chicken burger, chicken supreme and the Betty’s Double burger with a side of fries and drinks. Overall, it’s a decent classic burger menu with a good to average taste. The price is pretty expensive ($26 for a burger, side and drink). Meal discount is not included. Service was decent, however lady at the counter was unfriendly and felt impatient when we were taking our order. Although, the lady who served our food was nice - thanks Indy :) Environment is nice too, however sitting outside can be loud because of the main road right next to the restaurant.

Not the best experience. Usually bettys is a safe option for out of Towners however tonight the staff who were on were very inexperienced. My partner ordered a coke no sugar but we didn’t get one. I’m not sure if this was added to our total because it wasn’t on the takeaway docket but when I enquired with the staff they just looked at me cluelessly. We definitely ordered the drink and the staff member at the front repeated it back. Apart from that the double beef was absolutely soaked in grease. Not great. The chocolate shake was nice though.

Unfortunately, my experience at Betty’s Burgers in Toowoomba was deeply disappointing and frustrating, particularly as a long-time vegan who is careful about dietary choices.

When placing our order, we requested the vegan puff rice patty on a vegan roll. We also asked whether vegan cheese and vegan mayo were available, but the staff member assisting us confidently stated that they were not. We clarified our vegan preferences multiple times during the ordering process. Eventually, we opted for the patty with just tomato sauce due to the lack of vegan condiments.

When the burger arrived, I ate half of it, assuming it was the vegan puff rice patty. I even remarked on how impressive it was, thinking it must be a particularly realistic plant-based option. However, my friend, who had dined at Betty’s before, questioned it. Upon confirming with the kitchen staff, I discovered to my horror that I had been served a classic beef patty instead of the vegan option I had ordered.

As someone who has been vegan for 30 years, this was incredibly distressing. I immediately brought it to the attention of the front counter staff, only to be met with an explanation that they thought I “just wanted the gluten-free vegan roll,” completely ignoring my explicit request for a vegan patty and condiments. This demonstrates a clear lack of understanding of dietary requirements and an inability to properly process or double-check orders.

What makes this worse is that other establishments, typically review the order with the customer to ensure everything is correct. Betty’s Burgers failed at every step, from taking the order to serving the correct item.

I cannot recommend Betty’s Burgers to anyone with specific dietary preferences or allergies. This experience highlights a lack of care, competence, and accountability, which could have serious implications for those with dietary restrictions or food...

My fiance and I drove up from Brisbane to come and visit some family. And we decided to get takeaway from Betty's. Let me tell you I have never seen the most pathetic excuse for customer service or work ethic in my life. The slow movements in the back of the kitchen to get food out was painful to watch, no care IN working with the food either, touching cleaning products and cleaning and then touching the food!? Like how is this allowed? The staff also forgot to add the fries in the bag and i pointed this out to her and she shows me the receipt as to say we didn't order fries, I showed her the receipt again where it clearly said (Burger+Frie) honestly so usless. We litreally threw all the food away as we were digusted by how soggy everything was and the fact that staff clearly don't understand workplace health and safety guidelines which is (DONT WORK WITH CLEANING PRODUCTS AND THEN TOUCH CUSTOMERS FOOD) staff have the worst careless attitudes, manager walking around with her clipboard instead of running the resturant and staff. I was in hospitality for a very long time, owned my own businesses as well and let me tell you the lot that was working tonight would be immediately redunded. Absolutely disgusting. I will never spend 1c...
