My first experience was bad enough to think 'First and the last, never again'. I saw carrot cake near cashier so I ordered that with 2 cappuchino then the lady gave me one from glass box (there were two old carrot cake pieces) -I knew that must be old one.. I asked her again and pointed the carrot cake what I wished but she said 'this is the same thing' then finishing conversation. Then another Aussie customer ordered same carrot cake then she gave her the one near cashier; same person serving, same money but totally differnt service! I happily paid 20% surcharge but felt like I paid for service from a racist on public holiday. WARNING! if you are a tourist - asian looking, be aware that you will get a old, dry carrot...

It'd be great if they could add a simple eggs and toast to their menu. There aren't many options with eggs without meat, so I asked if I could get the toast/eggs/bacon combo and swap the bacon for avocado. Apparently not, they charged me the full price and an add on $4 for the avocado.

I get that when people want to modify meals it can be annoying for restaurants but there's only three ingredients and it's so easy to just not put bacon and instead put avocado, which is available as an add on anyway. This has been a superb leisurely hangout spot for my son who is 5 and myself. I had the most wonderful relaxing time watching him build sandcastles and play with other children whose parents and siblings were enjoying a casual game of beach volleyball. Staff were pleasant and approachable. Atmosphere was relaxed. The coffee was excellent and string chips with complementary sauces were delicious and satisfying although somewhat pricey in my opinion. Since the place is licensed it also makes for a perfect destination to bring a date and/or group of friends.
