ABOM Food Hall — Restaurant in Victoria

I would have loved to have left a higher rating as the food itself was delicious. We booked for 6pm on our first night in Buller and even though I had called earlier in the afternoon to double check our booking time, we were not informed until arrival that we would not be able to order from the whole menu until 6.30pm because of a last minute function in the food hall that had put pressure on the kitchen. The limited menu consisted of pizza and small items. As a courtesy, it would have only taken 10-15mins to quickly call the small handful of 6pm bookings to let us know the situation as we were dining with children and wanted a quick turn around. In the end we weren't able to order until about 6.45pm. When we were finally able to order, the food came quickly and was fresh and delicious from the pizza through to the pasta and the Murray cod in particular was amazing. I rarely give 1 star reviews but this food & the price they are charging absolutely warrants it! It cost us $99 for 4 inedible hotdogs with sauce, 1 cup of cold chips, 3 cans of soft drink & a bottle of water. The food was disgusting! We couldn't even eat the hotdogs and in all honesty, I'm not sure it would have been safe to do so. $17 for a hotdog ($16 + $1 for sauce) that was stale and cold. I know Buller is more expensive than most places which I understand, however charging exorbitant prices for food like this is an absolute joke. I don't know how they are even passing...

I really enjoy the food here, we order few dishes and in no time the food was nice presented on our table. Nice the fact than while you having dinner you can see the people skiing on the main ski run outside the massive window. The atmosphere is nice with a soft background music the service is also great, we will definitely come back next week when we come up for...
