Centrally located within the village. Shops, restaurants, ski hire, chairlift - all within great proximity. |Unfortunately, staff and resources, as well as facilities let them down.|They were understaffed in all areas. |Check in took far too long, arrived at 3.30pm and discovered that there was only one person dealing with all reception work, whoch created a long delay in the process. Was unable to find reception as the bus drop off was at the "rear". Asked staff from their bar ehere check in was and their mentallity was dissapointingly dismissive. |Rooms - very basic, unable to justify $500 per night here as they were lacking basic amenities. Room was dirty and it appeared as though the bed was not cleaned properly with sheets all wrinkly and towels did not seem clran either. No shampoo provided, make sure you bring your own. |Walls werr paper thin, we were practically in the same room as our neighbour. Our neighbours were conversing at medium level and we could hear every single word. When we indicated to our neighbours that they were being on the noisy side at midnight, they began whispering as courtesy which was nice. Though our neighbours were whispering, we could still hear everything, even as they walked to their bathroom.|Breakfast was underwhelming with cold food which was rarely topped up. |This also seemed to have been a direct impact of understaffing. Plates and cups ran out and it appeared to be a big struggle for them to replenish levels.|Check out was similar to check in. A sign says chrck out between 8.30-10.30am. As we tried to check out at 9pm, we were delayed for 30 minutes as the reception wasn't manned. A phone number was provided on the wall with a sign saying please ring for assistance. When we rang, nobody answered and we could see the "hotel manager/receptionist" was running around doing housekeeping work.|All in all, dissapointing stay at $500 per night in a very average "hotel". |WIR? no.|Recommend to others? No|Value for money? No|Satisfied with...

Read moreI booked a family room for 4 nights. The location is right at the Village Sq where you can get food, ski rentals and stuff. Located within the same complex you have access to the Village Bistro on the ground floor and restaurant on the second. On paper, its a real good location but for skiers i think it is much better to stay a little higher at Abom or Ski Club Victoria because that is where the ski school is located. Since lockers do not overnight rentals, staying here means you’ll need to walk up the slope and stairs to the ski school with your ski boots.. a painful experience. However, if you already know how to ski, the hotel is only 30m away from Bourke St Express chairlift. ||Now let’s talk about the hotel. The first, and probably last person you’ll talk to is Stuart who manages everything. He is a lovely and helpful man, the reason i did not score them as a 3. Because he is a one way show, it will be better if you let them know your ETA as he may sometimes not be around. ||The family room as many mentioned is very basic. As international travellers we have so much baggage but there was simply no room. There were only 4 hook clothe rack, thats about it. So, i had to push my luggages under the bunk bed. As there were 3 of us, we could use the space on the top bed. While the room was basic (only a kettle and cups), the room was very clean and I appreciated that. On top of it, the best part is the dryer room and ski room to store our ski equipment and apparel. Our gloves and jackets were soaked from a wet day but an overnight in the dry room, voila! Dry and ready for the next day. ||Is it expensive? yes it is but so are the other onsite accommodations. Try searching for a 2 bedroom , the prices are ridiculous. The alternative is to stay offsite and transport yourself to the...
