Beppe Bar and Kitchen is Daylesford’s local Italian trattoria, somewhere to casually dine with a warm atmosphere. They are also the team that revived the popular cafe across the street, @cliffysemporium as well as Melbourne’s @dumbomelbourne and @sanimelbourne.

The menu offers classic dishes with seasonal takes and all pasta, pizza dough and bread are made in-house. It is inspired by tradition, paying homage to the strong Italian and general migrant communities in the region. To drink, the cocktails list is quite simple with mostly classics and spritz’s. I ended up curiously opting for their Beppe Rose on tap. It was alright. 🍷

The Prawn and Pesto Woodfired Pizza was good, the dough itself was incredible with a big, fluffy crust and a thin centre which still is able to hold itself. The Prawns however were tasteless, we wish they were marinated in something to make them pop. What we did love was that with every pizza they also provide their delicious, creamy, ‘Beppe Sauce’ to dip your crusts in - clever! 🍕

With the pasta dishes, both were a little underwhelming and overcooked. The Cacio e Pepe was the better of the two, you could opt to add Truffle for an extra $18 but I think it should have come with at least a little bit to add a bit of flavour dimension to the plain dish. The Pumpkin Ravioli just lacked flavour. Complimentary bread is offered to mop up all your sauce. 😋

The Tiramisu was almost perfect, easily shareable between two. The biscuits were a little soggy for my liking but overall a delicious dish.

Service was great, very attentive, quick and fresh cutlery and plates for every dish. I think the power move is visiting during the week rather than the weekends if you can as I’ve heard it can...

Beppe's is a true gem in the heart of Daylesford that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a swift service that saw our delicious dishes on the table in no time.

The restaurant's thoughtful gesture of providing a dog bowl for our furry companion added an extra touch that made our visit even more memorable. The ambiance at Beppe's is simply charming, drawing inspiration from the rich Italian and migrant communities present in Daylesford.

I can attest to the authenticity and excellence of the dishes offered at Beppe's. The lamb ragu gnocchi and saffron prawn risotto were simply divine, each bite a burst of flavor and quality.

I must also praise the staff for their attentiveness to special dietary requirements, especially with my gluten-free and lactose requests . The attention to detail in service echoes the high standards set by the same owners behind Cliffy's, another Daylesford favorite.

WOW!! best Restaurant in Daylesford😋 Came here to celebrate mine and my boyfriend’s 3 year anniversary and man can I say this was a good choice. As soon as we entered we were welcomed and were taken to our table. We sat next to the fire place in the middle. I loved the fire place it added something a little different you wouldn’t Normally see. The restaurant had its unique design with art work on the walls that told a story. Atmosphere was lovely and the toilet was a unique experience. The staff were incredible, felt very looked after and had the best service we have ever had! We had a very nice lady look after us for the night, ended up having a good chat about wine ect.. The food was Spectacular! Perfect portions and tasted sooo good!!
