Lazy Moe's Bendigo — Restaurant in Victoria

Do not reccomend this place at all!

A large group of us came here looking for a quick feed. However was very disappointed by this.

Firstly, the food was of poor quality. The fried chips on the 15 dishes we ordered were basically still frozen, the kebab meat was basically like rubber, the lamb kofta was burnt and dry, the steaks we ordered weren't cooked as requested and one steak was basically blue still, the risotto was so salty and the side salad was swimming in dressing.

Secondly, the service from ALL members of staff was shocking. I have never experienced such bad customer service. Not only did we wait about an hour for our food, the waiter took our order wrong, and when told it was incorrect replied with attitude "well someone ordered it so you need to eat it." We told the waiters that the meals were all non edible, and their response was "we'll tell the chef."

The worse staff of all was the manager! She did not acknowledge any of the staffs or restaurant faults and said "we should have gone straight to her, and their not a 5 star restaurant." Then proceeded to tell my team mate who first complained as she was first to pay that "she doesnt want to talk to a child" even though she is a 30yr old grown woman. We didn't go to her directly at the time because we were all hungry after waiting an hour for our food and thought telling the waitress staff was sufficient.

At the end, she overcharged me (only $2) and was rude when I told her the pricing was incorrect. I explained that meals were not even worth 1cent and that if I wasn't happy with the meal why would I pay extra and be ripped off? She rudely went into her till and threw the $2 coin at me.

I should of thought more about the restaurant's name being literal rather than quirky.

first time at moe's in bendigo I had a vegetarian lasagna and side of vegetables, I should of known not to try them again. (first time round vegetarian lasagna didn't taste great-weird flavour and included chickpeas -not something I want in a paid meal, and vegetables weren't really cooked not even for blanching standards and tasted a bit like dish soap. I sadly didn't complain as I thought maybe they had an off night while friends and I dinned and joked about finding actual insects in our drinks). This time I came in at 2.30pm for some afternoon lunch and ordered the Bruschetta while it was dead quite I think I was the only dinning party at the time, Brushetta plate was COVERED in oil and bread was soggy due to the amount, onion was slivered and seemed soaked in oil, and they used cherry tomatoes which made it cumbersome to try and eat and unpleasant in taste on the whole. I didn't find or notice the typical flavours of brushetta like garlic or balsamic- I finally decided to say something. that it was the worst brushetta I have ever had/tasted and got told its just how some places make it (not like this they don't). I had the most tenderness rib steak I’ve ever eaten cooked exactly the way I like well done and my husband had Chilli beef parmigiana. We will definitely be coming back lot more. We had takeaway as well as not many main meal take away places in Bendigo. Situated in the Hopetoun hotel in Mitchell street Bendigo. Highly recommended

This is the next time I went to Lazy Moe’s tonight. What a difference? I ordered for myself Traditional Bruchetta. The toast was perfect but that was all. There was huge half ripe to green massive cherry tomatoes with loads not a drizzle, swamped in oil. Huge pieces soaking wet leaves I assume was basil. Too sloppy to tell and heaps of Italian parsley. The oil was running down my arms. Next and main course I ordered Lamb ribs. They were under cooked and either steamed or boiled. They were tough. A tiny small drizzle on three ribs. The rest had nothing on them. The skinny fries were soft too and a massive serve of them with a very small serve of veggies were just okay. A bit hard for my liking. One star...
