I think this rating would more truthfully be 3.5 stars. The dish I was served seemed reasonably well thought out, textures and flavours were chosen to compliment each other and it worked. However, in the actual bean mix, the supposed star of the dish, it seemed more thought was put into ensuring seasonal produce rather than making flavours that work. The earthiness of the root vegetables would have been better suited to a hearty stew than a mexican inspired bowl. The inclusion of cashew cream was necessary to cut down the acidic flavors of everything else but there was just the tiniest spoonful, adding some guac would have really elevated this dish. $16 also seemed quite excessive for a small bowl of what was essentially beans and rice....

Whole foods are almost always more expensive than other kinds of food but you would hope that might be balanced out with customer service. The service wasn’t bad. Staff friendly but sloppy. I ordered a rosti - not cooked. My spinach was hardly wilted. Eggs were good but I needed to ask for butter which took a little bit of effort. We tried the Wok n Broc bowl n sucuk scramble, very different dishes but both tasted amazing. Very fresh ingredients Desserts (caramel slice and blueberry danish) were also delicious They were under pressure due to high number of customers and COVID regulations but the owner did really well to keep things under control.
