Terrible Experience - Food Poisoning & Appalling Customer Service

I’m writing this review not just to share my experience, but to warn others. Eight of us who ate from your shop on Monday night (November 4th) were violently sick with food poisoning. It’s deeply concerning that your food caused such severe illness, but what’s even worse is the way your staff handled the situation when I called to inform you that I was a little upset after spending over $100 to get sick on my sons first birthday.

When I contacted the shop to report the issue, instead of receiving an apology or any form of concern, I was met with rude customer service and outright dismissive behavior. The person I spoke to clearly had no understanding of basic food safety or hygiene and even had the audacity to claim that your food couldn’t possibly make people sick. It’s truly baffling.

I will be reporting this incident to the Bendigo council, as it’s clear that this is a serious matter. Anyone reading this, be cautious when considering where to eat—your health shouldn’t be at risk. Come across this place by mistake. Was flat out which indicates the food must've been good. Flake and chips the best I've had for a long time! And even flat out order was done in no more than 10 minutes.

What lost you a couple of stars was the hamburger - please don't pre cook a batch of hamburgers and have in warmer - it was not warm when I ate it but still good flavour however hamburger patti was one of those frozen woolies/coles pack of 50 ones - Was expecting home made!

We have been customers for over 20 years & actually drive past 4 other Fish & Chip shops to go back to Lyttleton Terrace Take Away. Thankyou so much from Ni & Kj.
