First time customer and certainly won’t be returning, the food and the service and the general atmosphere were all poor to put it nicely. I’ll start with the food - The cheesy garlic bread wasn’t garlic bread, it was herb bread with cheese burnt on top. No garlic, all herbs. Not good and not what you’d expect when you order cheesy garlic bread. The eye fillet was the highlight of the evening, and still, the steak was incredibly flavourless? The star of the show had no flavour? For $50! The gnocchi came out full of onion, which there is no mention of on the menu, to the point it couldn’t be eaten because the person who ordered it doesn’t eat onion. If an ingredient is going to be so heavily in a dish, it’s helpful to include that information on the menu. The sizzling steak came out absolutely smothered in the sauce, to the point you couldn’t taste the meat and even struggled to find it. We also ordered a raspberry coke. It came out as a raspberry lemonade. So, we sent it back. Then, we watch the three girls at the bar, tip some out, and top it up with a splash of coke? I then receive a coloured sprite. Seriously????
Then to the staff: I think the girl who mainly served us was new. Which is fine, I understand. However, the other staff on didn’t help her at all, and she was a little bit hopeless at times. The blond girl who was working was also incredibly rude to not only customers, but the other staff, including our server. She was yelling at our waitress across the restaurant, seemingly to publicly shame her.
There was also kids running around and one little girl seemed to be unattended at a table all night? She was speaking to staff so maybe she was someone’s kid, but again kids running around and yelling while you’re eating dinner isn’t exactly enjoyable. I should clarify, I don’t expect staff to parents patrons kids, but some sort of management wouldn’t go astray.
When we left, no thank you, no goodbyes from staff - no nothing.
It wasn’t a particularly busy night either, so I’d hate to see how it is on a busy night.
I really wish I had a positive piece of feedback, but unfortunately it was a let down.
We unfortunately...
Read moreThis 1 star review is for the poor waitress that served us tonight otherwise it would be a 0 star review. Avoid this place at all costs! A group of 12 of us were celebrating my sons 4th birthday for dinner. Upon arrival we were told that we needed to use a QR code to access the ordering system for food and drinks! What happened to good old fashioned table service? Most of the older people at our table weren’t up-to-date with an ordering system like that and the staff found it to be a great inconvenience when they went to the counter to order their meals. Most of the table ordered entrees. The food starting arriving at a staggered pace with almost all of the mains coming out before entree. The meals that were coming out of the kitchen were at 10 minute intervals. The chef obviously is either new to the job or the ordering system is not working behind the scenes. When you order, there are pictures on the menu as to what you get. The first few meals were served with normal chips, the following meals were served with sweet potato chips which is not what it said on the menu! Two of our guests ordered the Wagu beef burger and they were both different. One had American cheese and the other had plain grated cheese that was still cold! Most of the guests asked for a refund as the meals weren’t coming out. My son was the last to be served with his chicken nuggets and chips. Anywhere you go, they always bring out the children’s meals first! Buffalo wings had no sauce. The fish was bland. The garlic bread was not toasted. Other tables around us were also complaining. We spent in excess of $200. Not impressed whatsoever! To make matters worse, the restaurant only had around 20 people in it! This restaurant will not survive another month with the current output from the kitchen and the stupid...
Read moreI was surprised to see how below average this place has become, I had always thought of the place as being a bit fancy. On my most recent visit here, I discovered that the quality & service has declined significantly. The food especially was such a disappointment, overpriced, and low-budget ingredients. A table of 12, including two kids, cost a total of $500+, some meals presented well and had no flavour, while other's read good on the menu and when arrive at the table, didn't look appetising at all. For example the garlic pepperoni pizza $19, had a base like a McCaines supermarket pizza, the buffalo wings ($19) needed the hot sauce to give them flavour, they were floury on their own, the hot rock steak was ok but for $49 I think I'd prefer a parma. And the vegetables were the frozen kind, microwaved in butter, do your self a favour and only get the salad as it was ok. Last of, the desserts were the rotten cherry on top, my pavlova was straight out of a packet smith a dollop of cream & a squirt of sauce, the lemon tart get sent back to the kitchen, its was under cooked & soggy suggesting its was store brought, packaged & frozen, the only dessert that got any praise was the donut fries, Nutella & icecream.
Overall, our experience was here was a letdown, and i know there are other places around town. The $500 would go a long way and satisfy the...
