Cute little Italian/French inspired restaurant. The staff are all very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Ordered the carbonara but requested it to be served with pappardelle instead of the traditional fettuccine. The pasta was well cooked but a little too thick but still tasted great. Wasn’t heavy and tasted closer to traditional carbonara as opposed to the westernised versions, the chef clearly loves his salt though. The food does take longer than usual to come out but it is worth the wait as all the food is cooked to a higher standard, and the serving size is generous. For dessert I had the chocolate moose, again made traditionally so it wasn’t heavy but very smooth, if you’re expecting a dense moose you will be in for a shock, but I’m sure you will still enjoy it nonetheless. Over all a very nice restaurant and will be recommending it to family and friends.

Possibly they most awful meal in years - so bad we were laughing hysterically. It takes true talent to make non garlicky garlic bread - so dry that all the moisture in one’s mouth instantly disappears, leathery pizza and claggy tasteless bolognase. Followed by an outrageously awful chocolate mousse - grainy in texture that could have been made of raw cake mix. No relief from the house wine - the red made me wince involuntarily. Allegro - Wow amazing for all the wrong reasons - just don’t!

My partner and I were hangry as all hell and couldn’t find anywhere that wasn’t a deli or annoying artisan food, stumbled upon Allegro’s and were blown away. We ordered the carbonara and lasagne, may be the best we’ve ever had without exaggeration, all made fresh. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, the only problem is that we’re from Newcastle and can’t come back any time soon!

From the very moment we stepped into the resplendent embrace of Allegros, we knew that an evening of unparalleled gastronomic delight awaited us. The effervescent ambiance was nothing short of enchanting, with the impeccably crafted interior design effortlessly melding contemporary chic with timeless elegance.

The pièce de résistance of our experience, however, was the extraordinary culinary expertise of the chefs. Their benevolence was palpable as they graciously conversed with us, elucidating their passion and dedication to crafting the most exquisite dishes. The camaraderie and conviviality they exuded were genuinely heartwarming.

Our taste buds were tantalized by the sumptuousness of the Duck Confit – a dish that epitomized the perfect amalgamation of textures and flavors. The duck was impeccably prepared, its tender, succulent meat harmoniously juxtaposed with a crisply caramelized skin that offered a transcendent crunch with each bite. The accompanying velvety reduction sauce heightened the experience to stratospheric levels, eliciting an exquisite symphony of flavors that left us yearning for more.

The pièce de résistance of the evening was the divine steak, a veritable tour de force of culinary prowess. Cooked to perfection, the cut boasted a buttery tenderness that seemed to effortlessly melt in our mouths, while the impeccably seared exterior lent an impeccable smoky char. The accompanying symphony of seasonal vegetables and a luxuriously rich jus served to elevate the dish into the realm of the sublime.

Throughout our meal, the waitstaff maintained an air of consummate professionalism, their attentive service ensuring that our every need was catered to with an almost preternatural prescience. The atmosphere of the restaurant, combined with the peerless culinary offerings and exemplary service, coalesced to create an unforgettable dining experience that can only be described as divine.

Allegros is a veritable sanctuary for the discerning epicurean – a place where the art of fine dining reaches its zenith. We wholeheartedly recommend this exquisite establishment to all who seek an extraordinary gastronomic adventure, and eagerly anticipate the opportunity to revel in the transcendent pleasures of...

What has happened to the great restaurant I remember?! After haven't been to Allegro for more a long time me and my partner decided to visit it again: it was half empty on a Thursday evening: first sign of something wrong. I remember having to wait to be seated in the past because it was always full! it was also understaffed. Waiting to be served, bringing the food without plates or cutlery, waiting to be seen when we needed something, made a mistake with our order, etc. was that a bruschetta?! Six half pieces of a toast soaked in watery/vinegar chopped tomatoes and red onions and feta cheese? the pizzas all looked and tasted the same, Domino's style with huge chomps of unmature redish onions that looked like cut with a shovel. Can you find the mushrooms in the Helen pizza? There were only five little pieces of them. no options to buy wine by the glass, except for the house wine... that is a low-end regular details, details, details. Those cheap paper napkins holders on the table, a few weeks of dust accumulating on the decoration and the lights, not asking for feedback a simple 'was everything ok?', a more flexible menue?

Not at all a remarkable experience. I sincerly hope that they can get back into track to the levels of...

We recently attempted to order our family's Friday night dinner here. We know they get busy so we purposely placed our order at 4pm and we're given a 530pm delivery time. At 6.05 we decided to touch base and see what was happening. Was informed that the order was missed and that they could start the order now with a potential delivery in 30mins, but not definitely. I said that we had many mouths to feed including many children so, seeing as our order hadn't even started could they please process a refund. I was told, quite bluntly, that they were too busy and that I would have to call back when they were less busy. Couldn't believe it. I pressed that I wasn't comfortable ringing later and after some back and forth with the less than helpful person on the phone I was transferred to the manager. The manager told me the refund would be processed when they had time because they were busy then hung up on me. I unfortunately love the food here, so it will be sorely missed. People make mistakes, but when you spend close to $200 on pizza, this is not how you expect to be treated....
