A straightforward favourite - 2 eggs fried or poached, served on buttered toast, with a side of tomato relish or caramelised onion.

This is a truly awesome cafe in a top location on the Mandurah foreshore. Cool Eats, run by Chef Con, welcomes you with his beaming smile and those of his attentive young staff, great ambience, aromas that evoke yummy food on the griddle, welcoming coffee and sandwiches that are overstuffed with tasty fillings. I have been here for breakfast four times in the last six days of my stay in Mandurah. Sitting outside people watching results in friendly coffee lovers engaging me in conversion ranging from motorcycling to dogs. Yes it’s very pet friendly and they know the place to come is Cool Eats as they get spoilt with titbits of crispy bacon and not a seagull in sight to steal the crumbs you leave after a filling, economical and very tasty breakfast. Well done Con, you are a legend.

Pretty much my favourite place to eat in Mandurah!!!! The sandwiches (rolls, paninis, toasties, etc) are excellent. Tasty, well made and generous in serving size. The tomato relish (I think made in house) is a fantastic alternative to tomato sauce/ketchup. It certainly adds a great touch. The cakes/pies are well made; not overly sweet and the pie crust is crumbly but not falling apart. The banoffee I had today was outstanding. Crust had a hint of coconut, the banana flavour was present but not overwhelming, nor was the caramel/toffee. The location is well chosen, with a view and easy parking. The staff (I think they are the owners) are friendly and welcoming. Lastly they are pet friendly, furry friends welcome.

Cool Eats came onto my social radar so I researched, read some great reviews and now follow on FB. Went down today with a friend and was welcomed by friendly Mr Cool Eats himself and his lovely team. I had to try their burgers with homemade patties so I ordered the AM Burger....Wow gotta say yummo 😋 gooey egg yolk, salty bacon and crunchy hash brown ( thanks Mr Cool Eats for the extra hashbrown) 👌 My friend had a freshly made chicken sandwich with a very good coffee! Then topped it off with Mrs Cool Eats Cherry Ripe slice.....which Mr Cool Eats cut up into little bite size pieces so I could share with my friend đŸ„° So.....people go to Cool Eats, have a delicious bite to eat and a chat with these lovely locals 👌

EDIT: After coming here for four years, I recommended Cool Eats to a friend today and we went there for a simple lunch. It wasn’t busy - maybe another two tables were in use. My friend ordered a ham & cheese toastie, and a moment later I ordered a frittata and salad. My meal came quickly and I waited a while then started to eat alone. By the time I’d finished my meal, my friend’s toastie still hadn’t eventuated, so he had to chase it up. When the sandwich finally turned up, the young server gave a very quick and superficial “sorry about that” comment in a situation which really needed an apology from the owner and perhaps a partial refund or complimentary offer. How can you forget to make something just a few minutes after it’s been ordered and paid for? There were a couple of very young staff at FOH and I hope the owner doesn’t blame them for the mistake - they weren’t making the food. If they’re inexperienced, give them more supervision and training. The whole event was really disappointing and left me feeling quite embarrassed for having recommended Cool Eats. If only the owner or manager had stepped up and addressed the mistake properly we would have left feeling differently. Perhaps they feel they don’t need to worry about repeat business from locals during the quieter months.

Lovely friendly staff selling delicious stuff. Ice cream is the best and they offer GF cones also. Good prices and...

I've frequented Cool Eats for a few years and they've always been excellent quality and extremely good value for money. Owned and run with a lot of heart with an immaculate vibe that made you feel comfortable the moment you walked in.

The establishment has recently come under new ownership and the quality of the food ingredients and vibe of the atmosphere has dropped severely, which is a little disappointing but also expected as they find their feet in these huge shoes to fill.

Keeping a keen eye on this cafe in the hopes that it improves in time.

EDIT/UPDATE: I can't reply to the owners response - The vibe of the shop now feels less like a Mum & Dad Cafe and more like a Service station food outlet. The quality of the ingredients seems to have dropped and the food lacks freshness, flavour, quality and that little hint of love.

May the new owners improve in time, but for now it seems as though they've bitten off more than they can chew and the beloved "Cool Eats" is now but Lukewarm Nibbles.

(Staff are still...

We’ve regularly visited this place with our kids for ice cream and often stop in for coffee—it’s been a bit of a go-to spot for our family.

However, we had a very disappointing experience this morning. My partner, who is seven months pregnant, and I pulled into the car park, where there was plenty of available parking. We planned to grab a coffee and a vanilla slice for the kids. Before we even had the chance to close the car doors, a man—who identified himself loudly as the owner from quite a distance away—yelled at us, assuming we might be going elsewhere and told us we had to move our car.

It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary, especially in front of other customers sitting outside. We hadn’t even left the car yet or decided anything, yet he made a scene as if we were doing something wrong.

Really disappointed by the approach and lack of courtesy—we won’t be returning after...
