What an awesome surprise we had going to this terrific restaurant Flics in Mandurah The food, quality and the huge range of choices to select from is amazing My daughter recommended we come down to this lovely restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday and what a wonderful choice it was The staff are welcoming friendly and very professional The atmosphere was just right we loved how everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and only to willing to recommend to us there favourite dishes and of course we responded with our top selections just lots of fun and the best food ever We loved everything we ordered but just ran out of space when it came to sweets which looking around all looked brilliant but we were done unfortunately but “We Will Be Back” Just look at our photos and you will see some of the great dishes we shared with each other Some dishes were our daughters as well but all were exceptional and the best quality food we have had anywhere This place is perfect for anyone that appreciates quality food and something different. We traveled down from Perth to enjoy this beautiful restaurant and it was worth it truly Don’t miss going to this little gem it’s sensational you will be glad you made the effort Should have mentioned they are open for lunch as well and the drinks menu is extensive and reasonably priced. All in all 10 out of 10 give it a go Trev

We came for breakfast and very much enjoyed the setting and the vibe of the restaurant. It's got a bit of a green/ industrial theme going on. The menu is very representative of modern Australian cuisine at the moment. They have a few mash up type items like the ramen omelette and the chicken and waffles. You can get sweet items too, like the strawberry waffles. They have "breakfast beers" which include all of the beers they have on tap but for $2 less than their standard pricing, because it's breakfast time. You can also have an espresso martini on tap. Bottomless brunch is also available and includes as much as you can drink for one hour, and a main meal from the menu for about $40. The staff are super helpful and found us a table even though they were very busy and had a lot of bookings. This was very much appreciated. I had the banana bread, but I was a bit underwhelmed with it. I think that it was microwaves for too long. By the time it arrived it was a bit chewy and hard around the edges.

Based on the reviews here, we decided to go here for late lunch and first impression wasn't good at all with large chunks of bread crust on the floor, dirty, scratched up chairs and a place that looked like it was closing. However, first impression didn't last long, as the service was great and the food was even better. Our waiter informed us that their dishes where small to medium sized, which is indeed true compared to many other restaurants we've eaten at during our trip. As such, we ended up ordering three mains, which all turned out to both smell, look and taste really good. The fried squid and slow cooked lamb comes highly recommended. Note that this is not a cheap place to eat at, but the high quality and great tasting food makes it worthwhile. Would've been five stars if it wasn't for the fact the place looked so shabby when we arrived.

Yesterday, we went for Valentine's Day to this lovely restaurant. We of course made a booking only could get for 1:30. We have arrived a bit early and we greeted and sit. Place looks very nice. We were hoping to have a lovey lunch there. However, after 40min of waiting we decided to walk away. It was when we noticed that people walked from the street without reservation and were served. And we were not even offered selection of the drinks. The water on the table was good. And next door people gave us Valentine's Day menu as that wasn't provided either. Sadly we won't go there to taste food.....ever again. It ruined our special day....Then it was of course too late to go anywhere else as after 2pm nearly all restaurant stop serving. Cannot say anything about food, if it was good or not, as we didn't taste it. Service though very sad. I understand it was busy day but after 1:50 it wasn't too busy and yet we were sitting there patiently waiting ...at least some acknowledgment would be nice like ..."it won't be long, can we offer a drink?" Anything ...would be nice. So after 2:10 we left. When we saw other people walking from the street without reservation and being attended and we were just sitting at the empty table with the glasses of water. I wouldn't mind waiting normally but there were there at least 4 people just cleaning tables...after people left and we were sitting waiting for at least drink offer. The day was ruin for us...we couldn't find decent restaurant open at that time of the day.....Thank you.....for making our day so 'nu-special'. PS in my entire life I have never experienced such a bad service. And yes I would understand if it was so busy...but it wasn't. And yes I have been in very busy restaurant around the world....I...

This used to be the best place to eat in town but boy has the standard dropped bigtime!!!!So much so, we will not be back. When the four of us arrived at 2pm for a late lunch, the waitress who looked so unenthused was rude, no smile and told us she’d have to check if the kitchen was still cooking. We sat down outside and was told we could order food. We had to get our own menus. The barman was really nice and took our drink orders. We had to ask the barman when he brought out our drink order if someone could come take our order. Once we ordered ALL the food was dumped on our table within 15 minutes of ordering even though we asked it to be staggered as it was share style food. The tables could barely hold the food our plates and our drinks so it was awkward to eat as the table was so crowded and cluttered. The wait staff didnt explain what the dishes were just dumped the plates and left. The beef with flat bread came out first which was the heaviest dish. The beef was dry and chewy and the flat bread was deep fried and oily with the beef piled ontop so the bread was soggy. We couldnt eat it. The scollops were delish, the zuchini flowers were oily and had a very strong prawn flavour, the lobster briosh was all bread, the gnocci was tasty but was a big bowl of mushrooms with about 5 peices of gnocci swimming in runny cream. A waiter came and asked how everything was and we told him we didnt enjoy the all food being brought out at same time within 15 mins of ordering and he said “oh, thats just how we do things here and the kitchen is about to shut!!!” Despite this, they were still seating diners! We paid over 300 dollars for a very average lunch and below average service. Such a shame. It used...

The most catastrophic service any of us have had in a long time. Let me start by saying the food was excellent so it is so disappointing that service managed to take away from the experience so incredibly much! It was that much of a mess that our table made a game out of betting what would go wrong next. A table of 8 of us booked for dinner over the phone. We arrived and they had no note of our booking and told us to come back in two hours. So we wasted two hours at the pub next door and came back where we were given a table that was half in the rain. The waitress told us she’d open up the umbrella for us but never did so we had to manage ourselves. We ordered drinks and was told the beer tap is not working so half of us ordered bottled beer. 30 minutes later we’re told they’re out of those type of beers too. In this time no one has come to order our food even tho we requested someone come take our order several minutes ago. Eventually our order is taken and some food is served yet they only give half our table knives and forks. The waitress actually came back AGAIN to clarify exactly what beers were ordered as she'd forgotten. One person at our table ordered separately while the rest of us shared as they are dairy free. Theirs comes out covered in cheese despite discussing this with the waitress at length. Towards the end of our meal one of us ordered a glass of red. We are one of two tables left yet it took another 20 minutes for it to come out in which the whole table was well and truly ready to go. Staff seriously need a change up here, it was like all the waitresses were standing around hoping one another would do each others job and so nothing was done. Would love to come back if...
