A’ight y’all, I needed eff’n pancakes. I’m craving eff’n pancakes, so my girl and I decided to check out this place: called The Bay Cafe - Mandurah. At first glance, the place was eclectically filled with warm bodies consuming their respective choices from the menu. The Mandurah Foreshore view is very attractive to the eyes. There are even dolphins swimming near you. I placed my order, requested something that wasn’t a norm for them, a “cremated” sausage with my pancakes. Truth: they accommodated my ODD request. I order their beautiful In-house Made Pancakes—Maple Syrup & Ice Cream (V) and my girl ordered their In-house Made Pancakes—Blueberries & Cream with Flat Coffee extra hot. The amount of food they bring to your table is pure and delightful insanity. The pancakes was “off the hook” delicious. My “cremated” sausage was burnt to PERFECTION. Thanks Chef!! And their prices are below standard compared to their competitors. Concluding, if you’re EVER near Mandurah, drop by, sit cha azz down, screen their choice filled menu, place your order and feast thereafter. This is my truth: deal with it. đŸ«”đŸŸ Cheers!! TNo

Family of 5 had lunch here in Jan. Lovely atmosphere, beautiful views. The service was friendly, but very DIY in that you get your own menus, order at the counter, get your own cutlery, sauces etc for your table. No table service to speak of, but the staff did deliver the meals. The food was good enough to fill the gap, but nothing special. Pre-made veggie burger patties simply deep fried left wanting for flavour. The chicken panini was a roll not a panini and again, no sauces or relish or anything leaving flavour behind. The meals took a little over 25 mins to come to the table when the Cafe was at about 50% occupancy. The restrooms had everything you'd expect. However, definitely need a good clean. The kids enjoyed their bagel and spaghetti saying "it was good and plain". I would recommend this spot for a quick stop, or a sit and enjoy a coffee, but we won't be back for meals. For the price, we expected more. To add, we didn't have milkshakes or cakes but they did look very good!

Unlike other 1 star reviews for this cafe, it was not a long wait for the food & the staff were relatively pleasant, however: It was the food itself which really let us down, my partner ordered the big bay breakfast and the most tasteful part of the meal was the canned baked beans. The bacon was undercooked and cold. The mushrooms were watery and tasteless. The sausage was cheap and rubbery. The sourdough wasn’t even sourdough, it looked like toasted white bread. I ordered the bagel and found that it had too much rocket so it felt like I was chewing on grass like a dairy cow having a field day.

Myself and 3 others went for breakfast on Friday morning, and we were very disappointed by the service, or lack of it. We ordered our breakfast and were surprised to see only two of us had received ours, and after 45 minutes another breakfast was bought out. So we thought obviously the fourth one will be out in a minute. But after waiting another 25 minutes one of us decided to go see what was taking so long. Apparently on taking the order one breakfast was not on there. I was told to go to the back of the queue to pay for it, but in the meantime they would let the kitchen staff know to make another one. Eventually I paid for it and went and sat down. No apology was given. Well we waited another 30 minutes and I went to see why it was taking so long, but was told to go to the end of the queue and pay for it. By this time I was not happy, I said it had already been paid for. I was told it won’t be long, but as I turned to walk back to my table I turned to say something to the girl, but saw her rolling her eyes at someone in the kitchen. There is a very big lack of customer service, which owning a business myself, I know that this is very important in business. Obviously they don’t care and don’t need the patronage. Not very nice. Whoever the manager is, they need to brush up the staff on customer service and at least apologise for the...

A visit to the Bay Cafe with interstate friends was a gross disappointment. We chose the venue for its location by the water with indoor and outdoor tables.

It was a long wait to receive our order, usually half an hour would be acceptable but it was longer than that. Being that it was after the peak lunch time we were both surprised and hungry. The smashed avocado and feta on sourdough was acceptable. The beef and onion pot pie was lacking beef and so sweet it was appaling! We each tasted it and had to agree. It was just some sliced onion in an over sweet gravy.

The Caesar Salad with chicken had very little chicken. The chicken had a bad flavour, that borderline off smell and taste. The dressing wasn't caesar dressing, it also was so sweet I thought there had been an accident of something in the bowl.

Being that we had guests and were very hungry,as it was a late lunch we simply picked at the food and left. If I had been paying the bill and circumstances different the food would have been sent back. We didn't...
