Had my birthday lunch at Bar Therapy a few days ago. Unfortunately, even though I had a email confirming my booking, it appeared they had no record of it. Luckily there was space for my party and we were seated promptly. Ordering drinks was not a problem, but the same could not be said for ordering food. We were demanded a table number to order food which our table did not have. There appeared to be a lot of confusion and annoyance over the situation, to which one of the staff eventually retrieved a table number for us from another table. The food was a little disappointing. I ordered korean chicken bao buns which for some reason the bao buns were cooked / fried and had a crunchy, brown exterior. The chicken was fine, but nothing particularly made it korean. The mac and cheese balls lacked flavour and the wantons appeared to be deep fried dip wrapped in a wanton wrapper.
But I would 100% make another visit. Why? Because of the cocktails! The cocktails were beautifully presented and so delicious. Not to mention the location overlooking the water is to die for.
Overall, Bar Therapy has a lot going for it. The location and the cocktails are amazing. But the food and service needs some improvement to ensure a better experience...

Aesthetics wise the bar is unique with the added bonus of being right next to the Mandurah Estuary which can bring in a nice cool breeze.
There's both food and drinks available so you don't have to starve here, though from my experience on food from the naan sliders or fish tacos, it was kind of boring food to eat though friends who had different meals enjoyed what their food so I'll have to give something else a shot next time.
Drinks wise the range is relatively small compared to most bars but it's easy enough to find something you'll enjoy (much harder for those who need gluten free food or drinks).
That said you'll likely have a lot of time to decide what you'd like to drink if it's somewhat busy as you'll spend a good 15+ min in queue to get a drink so best to buy two once you make it.
Bar staff were friendly but couldn't say any of them looked like they were enjoying their night that night (probably the fun of all the new covid rules).
Will give it another crack, though good for a chilled...

I've been visiting Bar Therapy in Mandurah for quite some time now, and I feel it's high time I give this fantastic spot the recognition it deserves. This cozy, inviting bar has consistently impressed me with its diverse and innovative selection of cocktails, as well as the array of quality whiskies adorning their shelves.
One of the highlights of my visits to Bar Therapy has been the incredible live music. If you're fortunate, you might catch Travis Green captivating the crowd with his soothing voice and engaging performances.
The only downside I've encountered is that it can occasionally take a bit longer to get a beer, as the bartenders can be swamped with crafting their exquisite cocktails. But trust me, the wait is well worth it!
If you're looking for a memorable night out in Mandurah, don't hesitate to pay a visit to Bar...
