Morley Reef & Carvery — Restaurant in Western Australia

Cheap and cheerful. Good Seafood basket for 2 people - for $25.50 [edit: July 2024 $27.50] it is great. Good portion size, decent fish (NZ Hoki), nice batter, big squid rings which weren't tough or rubbery, crisp crabsticks. Imported prawns - presumably Vannamei - to be expected at this price point. Chips were a bit chewy but for takeaway they weren't overly soft. Unfortunately the salad was not provided with my takeaway, disappointing. Burger (The Works - $10.90) was pretty good - for the price, better than the neighbouring Simon's / UFO Burger. No frills, like that of a decent truckstop or country town eatery. Affordable, tasty food of an extensive menu. Will happily return. Edit: For an update, I did return for 'dine-in' (eat there) and was very happy with an improved experience of everything being very crispy, served with nicely-dressed salad and lemon wedge. Service was very prompt; wait was a mere 4minutes approximately for food to come out, with cutlery in hand. No complaints,...

We came back from Philippines where we have retired and I was dreaming of nice fish and chips Australian style. This place Reef and Carvery is a family run business run by very nice, friendly people. Service is great, the Fish and Chips and Seafood platters served at the shop are unbeatable. Large serves and a salad with a secret but very tasty dressing are served with large portion of tasty fish and perfect chips. Childrens portions are also available. Roast meats with vegies are also available as alternative meal. Prices are very good, actually on par if not cheaper as take away fish and chips at similiar shops around Perth. Try this place, the Morley Reef &Carvery in Coventry Village after shopping at the shopping centre across road or next door in the Spudshed. I will dream of Fish and Chips after this meal when back in the Philippines. Eating there is a good reason to come back to Perth...

Fantastic place, great value for money. Surprised to find it was open after their hours on google, but they were sold out of the Traditional roast meals.

Got the Classic beef burger, hawaiian pack and marinated pork chops. Great portion size for the price, very filling. The burger was nice and crisp, with lots of filling and sauce. Batter on the fried stuff wasn’t too thick, so you could really taste the inside. Pork chops were a surprise, very tender, not at all tough, and came with a nice caramelised sauce.
