Dropped into Perch’d on a busy Sunday morning for breakfast and found it to be a solid, no-fuss brunch spot. The location is pleasant—right in the heart of Mandurah with lovely views across the Esplanade. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and managed the busy morning rush with calm professionalism. The café has a good amount of seating both indoors and outdoors, and I was able to find a table without any hassle. The menu was well-rounded, offering a range of breakfast classics with a few creative touches. Coffee arrived fairly quickly, which was appreciated. The food, however, took a little longer—just under 30 minutes. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting if you’re on a tighter schedule. Presentation-wise, the food was beautiful. The porridge was especially generous with fresh fruit—no complaints there. One small let-down was the side of avocado I ordered. Instead of slices, it arrived mashed, and unfortunately, it had that overly sour tang that comes from added lemon juice (presumably to keep it green). A little disappointing, especially since this wasn’t stated on the menu. My suggestion would be to either offer sliced avo or clearly label it as mashed. All in all, Perch’d is a pleasant spot for a casual breakfast or brunch in Mandurah. While I wouldn’t necessarily make a special trip for it, it’s a dependable local option with good coffee, decent food, and a relaxed vibe

The atmosphere is great, service is friendly, and food comes out quickly. my friend got the eggs benedict and she said it was delicious, the hollandaise sauce is yum. i got the smashed avocado and i didn’t have the same experience, the avo is very very lemony and there is a spice used that i think you have to have a very particular palette for. my friend tried it as well and she didn’t love it either. we both spent almost $40 for a meal and a drink which is ridiculous. i understand prices have gone up but compared to other cafes around the area the prices are insane. save your money and time and go to the bay cafe across the road.

Great location and food is always tasty. This visit, we waited over 30 minutes for our meals. Tables and chairs can feel unstable due to uneven ground, which is a bit uncomfortable. We were given a cutlery caddy with uneven sets and communal sugar that wasn’t sealed — not the most hygienic as we’ve seen crows stick their beaks into said sugar. Individual sugar packets and a tidier setup would improve the experience. It’d also be helpful if the specials matched what’s posted on Facebook/Instagram, and if ingredient sourcing (like local WA produce) was shared on the menu.

Thank you your staff we very customer focused. Very clean and tidy well done. Served in a good time. Coffee was hot and enjoyable. Egg on toast was enjoyable and tasty. I love the fresh appearance when coming into the cafe. Soft music playing makes it feel relaxing. Definitely wheelchair friendly. Lots of parking today was busy and little hard to find. I’m sure they could advise you on any vegan or dietary options. Your staff was very helpful and from when I walked in to sitting waiting and finished eating service remained excellent. To me I’m very fair in my recommendation so a five star to you keep up the hard work and please pass on to your staff on an excellent service. Menu was full of options and well presented. Even the floor was spotless well done. You offer inside and outside dining with umbrellas for shade also it’s a dog friendly cafe and the would enjoy sitting outside with their family. High chair is available and very child friendly. Sitting inside looking out to the foreshore is a beautiful view. Further more there are a lot of cafes here, maybe you asked why I chose this cafe hmm lots of seating and mainly it was very clean and dirty plates were picked up fast. Finally as watching people come and go all had smiles to me it shows they enjoyed and the service was amazing. Thank you...

The service was at high standard along with the atmosphere. The first time we tried this cafe we dined in and got a bagel and coffee and it was yum and we enjoyed it. The second time we ordered take away coffees and a bacon and egg bun type thing the coffee was spilling out the cup when drinking. The food was cold. We tried again today for takeaway and the coffee was ok I’ve tasted better coffee before didn’t have the flavour I asked in it. The food we asked for a chicken burger that came with fries. When we got to our destination across the road at the foreshore to enjoy it the box that had the fries in it was ridiculous the amount of fries it had in it could have easily fitted in the same box the burger was in. The fries looked and tasted like they had been cooked yesterday and reheated! And the burger was meant to have a brioche bun but didn’t and the chicken looked like it had been cooked yesterday and reheated but was only just warm more on the colder side. Not sure if it’s a take away thing or what I was actually surprised at how fast it came out so I’m assuming it was all pre cooked and just heated up. Definitely was too fast to be cooked...
