First time customer. Horrible customer service and very unprofessional. Very much treated like a number. No client care displayed. Overall tone was rude from get go. Cake was also over priced. It looked better than it tasted. Staff have poor attention to detail from an administrative point of view. Reasons for this 1 star review are below.

Tried to blame me for an internal error on their part. Was emailed and further phoned by owner who tried to accuse me for being late and forgetting to pick up the cake when they in fact had the wrong collection date (my collection was for the following morning). The collection date and time was clearly confirmed and in writing.

Clearly did not check email and text message thread between their admin and owner and myself before contacting me. Further friction was caused over the phone by being argumentative and difficult and not believing what I was saying. I was being questioned when they were in the wrong. No remorse was shown for the error and it was handled very badly. No attempt to pacify me or compensate for the error.

Attitude continued to be rude the next morning when attending to collect cake as it was a long weekend. The owner made me feel as if she was going out of her way for me and that I was such an inconvenience and nuisance. Had to ask for complimentary candles at the very least which were given reluctantly. A lot of finger pointing occurred between staff and constant excuses. As a business owner I thought she handled the situation horrifically.

Given that the cake was ready for collection a day early to what was arranged it did not seem fresh to me.

Would not recommend. Never ordering from here again.

I thought ordering a cake for a joyous and momentous occasion would be a fun experience but it was the opposite.

Unsure how she has been successful.

I am rather sad to be making this because it has such good reviews & their instagram looked gorgeous. For my 18th birthday I wanted a small heart cake with pinks & whites, simple sponge and jam filling. Paid around $200 for a mini retro heart cake with fancy piping and edible pearls, we thought it was pretty reasonable! On the website & confirmation email they said we would be contacted when the cake was ready for pickup on the day booked. Called them around 8:50 AM and they told me that after the confirmation email there’d be no more correspondence, just come pickup the cake on the day booked. A bit inconvenient but went to go pickup immediately. When given the cake it looked super cute, I was so happy for it! It had some black specks around but I think it was just how they made it. Got it ready and cut the cake, just to find out it was about 90% icing. A tiny bit of jam and the thickest layer of icing in the middle, as well as around the cake. It had the texture of cold butter and could barely finish a piece. We couldn’t eat it without removing chunks of icing until the cake pieces left was so small it was bite-sized. Tried to warm a piece in the microwave and accidentally melted all the icing around it, but was kind of shocked at how tiny the amount of cake was actually there. It is very pretty, but certainly...

I categorically do not recommend Perth cake collective. I ordered a cake from the bakery for my birthday. The ordering process is easy and the company is very responsive. When collected, the cakes look beautiful. However, once the cake is collected the service stops. I treated the cake as instructed and and refrigerated the white chocolate and raspberry curd buttercream covered cake. The cake consisted of four layers and about 25cm tall with no reinforcement. Within 20 minutes of displaying the cake began oozing filling out of the second layer and it toppled over within an hour. Regardless of how hot a day is, a cake should not do this. Additionally, the cake had very little flavour and the butter cream (Swiss meringue) tasted like cheap frosting from a Woolworths cake. I contacted the company to discuss the issue and was told that I should have purchased a tater box before finalising and they allowed no recognition in the possibility of fault in the baking of the cake.
