Look, Grissini in Claremont has a decent atmosphere and a nice location, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the moment you enter, you get a sense that you're not particularly welcome.
The main reason I cannot recommend this place is the price-to-quality ratio. I genuinely don't understand how this place stays open. I paid $37 for a chicken parmi that was half the size of a standard pub version, and that wasn't even the worst part. I spent the better part of three days recovering from what I assume was food poisoning (this has already been reported to the health department).
On a positive note, I did enjoy the mushroom arancini balls, although they were smaller than golf balls, and the chips were decent, though the portion was small for the price.
The scenic environment is quickly tarnished when you enter the bathroom, transitioning from an Italian ambiance to something reminiscent of Northbridge. While this alone isn't a reason to discredit the place, some updates could make customers feel more welcome and inclined to return.
I feel sorry for anyone who is invited or dragged along to a night out here. I recommend exploring other options in the local area until improvements are made.
To the management: addressing these concerns could significantly enhance the dining experience and attract more repeat customers but unfortunately I cannot see a return from myself anytime soon.
Best of luck and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at an Italian restaurant and I must say, it was an absolute treat! From the moment I stepped in, the cozy ambiance and warm hospitality made me feel right at home.
The menu offered a wide variety of mouthwatering options, but my personal favorites were the pasta and pizza. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of al dente texture. The rich flavors of the sauces complemented the pasta beautifully, leaving me craving for more.
The pizza was simply divine! The thin crust was crispy on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside. Topped with fresh ingredients and a generous amount of cheese, each bite was a burst of flavors that transported me straight to Italy.
To balance out my indulgence, I also ordered a big salad. It was a refreshing mix of crisp greens, juicy tomatoes, and other vibrant vegetables. The dressing added a tangy kick that perfectly enhanced the overall taste.
The service was impeccable throughout my visit. The staff members were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, providing excellent recommendations based on my preferences.
Overall, this Italian restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience with delicious pasta, mouthwatering pizza, and refreshing salads or Fish this is definitely the place to be. I highly recommend it to all food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I had dinner at this lovely restaurant for the first time on Saturday night. Now we have tried many Italian restaurants around Perth. Some are good and some are not so good. Well Grissini isnāt just good, itās fabulous!! Both our meals were insanely good in fact. Hubby had the lasagne which he said was one of the best he had ever tried and I had the tagliatelle with pancetta. The flavours in that sauce were incredible! The wine list was also great and prices were very reasonable. And letās not forget the service which was every bit as good as the food. My only fear is once the word gets out how good this place is it will be hard to get a booking! Now, I really must say something Arelene about your 1 star google review because your son got a fish scale in his meal. Really? You would really try and tear a business down over a fish scale? For goodness sake you are carrying on as if it was a fingernail!! AND even after you admit that they replaced the meal AND you all drank the free limoncello that was offered as an apology!! Absolutely...
