Gwynneville Bakery — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

Fairly disappointed to be honest. Bought a vanilla slice and an apple turnover for a special morning tea and the vanilla slice was still frozen on the inside and the cream in the Apple turnover was mock cream (as it was not refrigerated in the glass cabinet) and stale pastry on the bottom. A bakery should be baking all their items fresh every day - sad this place doesn't. Excellent service but quality of their product has me questioning whether I'd ever go back. Such a shame. Also be aware that a salad ham sandwhich will set you back at least $8, even more if you want cheese or extras. Jeez - better off...

I’ve been to this local bakery 4 times - trying to support local business. In the hope the experience would improve. They consistently run out of stock by mid morning so you can never get what you’re after. I can only assume they under order because it appears a lot of stock isn’t baked there. On top of that every this overpriced and the service is abrupt if not down right rude. They also have one of the worst loyalty cards out there - pay for 9 coffees to get your tenth free. So much for trying to do the right thing in supporting local business. Today I couldn’t even get a coffee - last time I’ll be going...

Was excited to try this bakery from the reviews; got the Spinach feta roll, fine, and the vegan pie which was an absolute swing and miss for a veggie/vegan option.. I've never had a more tasteless pie; bland sweet potato topped over some kind of watered down vegetable filling and disappointing pastry... Grabbed the Spinach Feta filo just in case on the way out, but it was like a flaky pocket of heated fillings that may have honestly tasted better frozen.
